"Father where are you going?" My older sister Arwen yelled as we both run towards our father.
He was wearing his battle armour and sitting on his majestic horse. About 50% of our army are behind him.
"Arwen, Ellethwen I need both of you to stay here and watch over the kingdom." He said sternly as his eyes shimmer with tears.
"What happened to sister Vanya father?" I asked as I remember having a vision of our older half sister.
He looks away from us and look out afar. "I will return soon." He said not giving us an answer.
"Arwen look after your sister. I love you both" Those were his last words before he rode away along with his men.
I look at Arwen as she looks at me aswell. Both of us are worried.
Somewhere in our hearts we knew something bad had happened to our beloved sister.
~Fast Forward~
Not more than a month father came back along with his men.
Me and Arwen run towards him as he came down from his horse. I couldnt help but notice his swollen eyes.
I look down to his hands, and put my hand over my mouth. To shock for what I have seen. I can say Arwen was shock aswell.
There father stood on his ground holding our sister's blades and bow. We couldnt help but wept and mourn for our sister.
For she have died in the battle of the five armies. Father told us she died protecting the one she love. The dwarf prince.
She died along with the King under the mountain and his nephews. Few have survive that battle and to our dismay our sister arrent one of those who survived.
Since that day father returned with he news of our sister's death everything wasnt the same.
Father would just lock himself inside Vanya's room for a long period of time and when time is right for him, he would come out and do his duties.
Me and Arwen were heartbroken but we remain strong for our father and for ourselves.
Father had told us Vanya's body was burried or burnt along with her lover and stayed in Erebor.
That was her wish, to live and stayed in Erebor with her prince.
I couldnt but feel happy and sad at the same time. Happy that Vanya is now happy with her dwarf prince in heaven and sad that she didnt get to fullfill her dreams in the world of the living.
~Present time~
My breathe shallowed as I let go the string of my bow, letting the arrow lose. I gaze up and saw the arrow hit the red dot.
I smile confidently at my work. I never miss a spot, thats for sure. Im one of Rivendell's great archerers and im proud of it even if my sister and father dont.
They always tell me that it wasnt princess like. But in the back of my mind I always know that they are worried that I might turn out like to be Vanya.
"Ellethwen.." A soft voice called out. I lowered my bow and look up to my beautiful sister.
"What is it Arwen?" I asked with a frown as I noticed the look on her face.
"The ring of power...they finali found it" she let out as my eyes widens.
"We must go. Come sister, father is waiting" she motioned for me. I nodded and drop my bow at the side and ran with Arwen to our father.
As soon as we reach him, he eyed me up and down. Clearly not liking my attire for this day. I gave him a look that tells him that this is not the time.
"As you both know the ring has been found" he started. "It has been in the hands of a hobbit. And now we face great evil. Sauron wants his ring back" he explained to us clearly.
"We have to destroy it" I said with much confindence. My father nodded.
"But it will not be easy. That is why I have summoned people from afar for a counceling, regarding with the ring"
"where is the ring-bearer now?" I asked. "He is with Aragorn at this very moment. Along with 3 other hobbits."
I can almost feel Arwen's hitched breath as the mention of Aragorn's name. It made me smile what love can do to someone.
"Arwen I need you to go and look for them. Bring the ring-bearer here. There is something going on with the ring-bearer." He ordered as Arwen nodded.
She gave me one last look before leaving.
"Ellethwen" my head turns to my father. "Be ready. I will need your assistance" I nodded in understanding.
~Fast Forward~
Few hours gone by since Arwen left to go get the ring-bearer from Aragorn.
As I was waiting for her, I decided to go visit a friend. I smile as saw Bilbo caught up in writting his book in the garden.
I walk towards him and sat beside him. I look up to me and smile. He has grown old due to the years have gone by.
Father told us he was one of Vanya's closest friends. "Ah. Ellethwen. Nice to see you" he cheerfully as he smile at me.
I couldnt help but smile back at the hobbit. "How are you my friend? Still caught up in that book I see" he look down at his book with a smile.
"I finished it." I look over to his book. "There and back again: A Hobbit's Tale by Bilbo Baggins" I murmur.
I smile at him as I remember my sister being in his book. "Do you miss her?" I asked out of nowhere. "Yes. Yes I believe I do" he lets out with a smile.
I often recall Bilbo telling me about my half sister. He often tells me, she's uniq. He misses her a lot and to witness her death was something he would never forget.
In a few minutes me and Bilbo talked. He keeps on telling his stories of his adventures. I couldnt help but laugh when he told me their troll encounters.
I hope someday I can have my own adventure aswell. In the corner of my eyes I saw Lindir came fort. "Milady your father has requested your pressence" I nodded and stood up.
I look down at Bilbo as he smile at me. "Go on Ellethwen" I smile back at him as I walk to where father is with Lindir leading the way.
