TIARA'S POV
A senior student's schedule in a university has quite a lot of free time than the freshmen. Mine is crammed within 4 days a week so every Friday, I'd rather stay at home than the dormitory.
So here I am, lying on my bed without a care in the world even if it is a precious weekend. I read some of the books in the shelves and put it away after I got bored. I was playing with my phone when my dad called me.
"Yes, dad?"
"Are you busy at the moment?" Dad asked as I heard shuffling of papers on his side.
I looked at the clock that read it was nearly lunch. "Not really, why?"
The shuffling of papers stopped, "I think I left a brown envelope at the room. I need it for the afternoon meeting so could you bring it at the hospital right now?"
"Hmmm." I walked out of my room and went to my parents' room. "Where is it?"
"Top left drawer." I went to the cabinet and pulled it open. I rummaged a bit inside before I saw the envelope.
"Found it. I'll be there in an hour." I said as I went back to my room to change for a proper wear.
"Thanks. Then you can just have your lunch here though I won't be able to accompany you. I have a scheduled surgery in twenty minutes."
"That's fine. I'll just order the most expensive food then." I heard him chuckle on the other line.
"Good. Bye and be careful on your way."
"Roger that." And I hung up the phone. I immediately grabbed a shirt and jeans and went to the bathroom to change.
I brought the car that was my parents' present for me when Tony and I turned eighteen. I drove for quite awhile before I reached the hospital. Since I usually hang out in the hospital back when I was still in highschool, I had a lot of friends and acquaintances in every building. I greeted some nurses and doctors I met on my way to Dad's office.
I looked at my watch and saw that it was a bit early so I just welcomed myself in Dad's office. I'm pretty sure he's not yet done with the surgery so I comforted myself with the soda inside his mini refrigerator in here.
I sat on the couch and looked at this table where our family picture stood and some papers. Dad was a neat freak person and growing up, he scolded me countless times whenever I make a mess around the house.
I was just relaxing very leisurely at his office when I heard the door open. Not bothering to look at who it was, thinking it was just Dad I spoke, "The envelope's on the table. I'm staying to grab your card and drain all the money."
The position of the couch was in front of the door so my back was facing the door. The person who entered did not make any noise so I wondered why.
"Dad, don't you dare go back on yo---uh, who are you?" I stopped on my words when I looked at the person standing at the door only to find out that it wasn't the person I thought it was.
Actually, I almost dazed on my seat when I saw the person. Recalling back my dormmates' talk about boys, the guy in front of me would rank 'God' level for them. His black hair was styled so perfectly and his face looked like it was carved out from some mythical book. His build is what would you call ideal and you could really feel his sexiness oozing out from his fashion style. Damn, would Jia, Jess and Hana get in here in time if I call them right now?
The guy did not answer quickly after I asked the question. I returned back to reality when he finally spoke, "I'm looking for Dr. Forteza."
"Oh, he's in the middle of a surgery." I quickly stood up and welcomed the visitor. "Have a seat please, I'm sure he's mostly finished by now." I went up to the mini kitchen.
"Would you like some tea, coffee or juice?" I asked as I watched him walk his way to the couch and sit. He looked at me before answering that water will be enough. I nodded and poured him a glass of water and put it on the table in front of him.
I sat opposite to him and apologized. "Sorry, I was surprised so I forgot. I'm Tiara, Dr.Forteza's daughter. I thought that no one was gonna visit him at the moment so I thought it was Dad who entered. I'm really sorry about that."
"It's fine." He coolly uttered before picking up the glass and took a sip from it.
I was rummaging my head on what to do to entertain this person. I mean, Dad still isn't here and his words.... are only handful. The longest line he ever said so far was when he asked where Dad is. There really is a man of a few words, huh.
Thankfully, after doubling my effort to talk with the visitor whom was soooo not talkative, Dad finally arrived. I almost ran to hug him from happiness of being my savior from this ice cube guy with no facial expression.
I quickly left them alone after snatching Dad's card and entered the Michelin Restaurant on the same street.
I sighed while waiting for my orders to come. I rarely meet people with looks that is at the same level with Dad and Mom and too bad, he's an introvert type. I almost thought he was my ideal kind of guy but I guess he's not. Let's just settle it as a minor crush. It's not like we'll ever cross each other again, right?
