I fell

I fell

Breathtakingly fast

And unconvincingly hard

I thought you did too

But you wore a mask

You found me broken

Laid out

In front of the boy who did the impossible

Who made me feel beautiful

Who made me feel loved for once in my life

And then

At my lowest point

You took all that away like it meant nothing

Like all we've been through was just a game

When people fall

They scrape their knee

So why is there a hole inside my chest where my heart used to be
