Geez! We just had a damn argument after what happened earlier, and I still haven't learnt my lessen. Well, maybe it wasn't actually an argument, but still! How could I still be having lustful thoughts about my best friend? It's just wrong!
Maybe it's because I saw her naked. Or maybe it's because I got a little more than a taste of her. What was I suppose to expect? It's bound to happen after you had sex only a couple of hours ago. No matter what happens between us, I just know one thing was certain. Things will never be the same again.
I went down the stairs and decided to grab something to eat. Maybe a little distraction is what I needed to help get my mind off things, and I knew exactly what would do the trick.
I walked into the kitchen and decided to make a couple of sandwiches. I grabbed some tomatoes and lettuce from the refrigerator, then the creme cheese, ham and bread.
I took out some slices of bread and cut the crust off. I added a spread of creme cheese on each slice and then went ahead to wash the vegetables.
I quickly washed the tomatoes and lettuce under some running water then sliced them, putting them on each slice of bread that had a spread of creme cheese on it.
Then added some ham slices and covered it with another bread slice that had creme cheese on it.
After doing this to make a couple more sandwiches, I sliced them diagonally, making them look like small triangles.
I then placed them on a plate and kept it aside. Afterwards, I made some more sandwiches but didn't remove the crusts from them, placing them on another plate.
I went into the refrigerator and poured out two glasses of orange juice which mom made earlier in the morning.
"So this is what you're up to?" I heard Annie say, almost making me drop the cups in fright. I wasn't expecting her to come down here. I thought I would be able to clear my thoughts by doing the thing I loved the most. It always helped to clear my mind, but now the very person I was avoiding was present.
"You startled me." I sighed while using my foot to close the refrigerator's door.
"You made sandwiches too." She noticed, "And you made them just the way I liked them."
She grabbed the plate with crustless sandwiches and sat down on a stool around the island. I placed the glass of orange juice before her and took a seat next to her. We ate in silence, that was until she spoke.
"Do your parents know?" She asked out of nowhere.
"Know what exactly?" I furrowed my eyebrows at her.
"You know, that you're gay?" She asked staring down at the sandwich in her hand.
"For the last time, I'm not gay!" I fussed, putting down my sandwich and turning on the stool to face her.
"I'm bi-" she cut me off when I was correcting her.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm just saying! Geez!" She exasperated dramatically.
"So, do they?" She asked again impatiently.
"No, they don't, and I don't plan on telling them." I answered with a light sigh.
"It's not like I have to! I like boys as well, so if the day comes that they want to see me happily married, then I'll bring home a boy. Simple!" I gave her my solution.
They didn't have to know that I bat for both teams. When the issue of that comes up, I'll be sporting a boy to settle down with. Easy as that!
"But what if the day comes that you find yourself in love with a girl, then what are you going to do?" She inquired further.
