"Awesome party. I'm so glad I came.." Michael whispered quietly to himself.
A small chuckle escaped his lips as tears rolled down his cheeks. His tears turned into more than just crying. He began sobbing, his legs curled up to his chest as he leaned against the edge of the bathtub. He sat there for who knows how long, just crying and crying. All of a sudden, he heard screams. More and more screams rang throughout the house. Michael lifted his head up, listening to the screams of everyone downstairs. Someone had set a fire. Michael just sat there, not even trying to escape the burning building.
"No one would care if I left.. If I just.. disappeared... Not even Jeremy cares anymore... I'm just a loner.. a loser...."
~
Jeremy had run out of the building with everyone else. Although the alcohol he had drank messed up the Squip, he could still function as if he was sober. As soon as he was outside he began to check that all of his friends were there. Although he had counted everyone, he felt as if he had missed someone, but for some reason he couldn't think of who.
~
The fire spread further throughout the house, reaching the upstairs level. The fire had now reached the bathroom. The door had begun to burn, smoke seeping into the room. Michael now found it extremely difficult to breathe, and his crying didn't help the situation. The fire was creeping closer to him, and it was now that he wanted to leave. He took back what he said. He didn't want to die. Michael crawled back quickly to the bathtub, trying to get away from the fire, though he knew that he was beyond saving at this point. It was too late for him to escape.
~
Jeremy looked around, trying hard to think of who he was forgetting. Then it hit him.
"Has anyone seen Michael?!" Jeremy shouted.
"I last saw him go into the bathroom." Brooke replied.
"So did I." Jenna said.
"Did anyone see him leave?" Jeremy asked.
"I don't think so." Chloe replied, the situation beginning to set in on all of them.
Jeremy looked back on the burning building.
"Oh god.."
~
The fire was so close to Michael that he was practically pinned back against the wall. Michael couldn't breathe at this point. He was gasping for breath, his vision becoming blurry. Michael's gasps slowed to a stop and his vision went dark. His legs gave out as he went unconscious, falling limply to the ground.
~
As Michael fell to the ground, loud footsteps were heard pounding up the steps. The burning door was bust down quickly, and none other than Jeremy entered the bathroom. He spotted Michael laying on the ground, the fire nearly upon his unconscious body. Without thinking twice, Jeremy sprinted through the fire, lifting Michael's limp body off the ground. Holding Michael bridal style, and ignoring the intense burning pain against his legs, Jeremy ran back through the fire, holding the limp boy in his arms close to his body. He ran back down through the burning building till he was outside once again.
