Well this time, I have brought you a very intresting story. The story of a hood ornament which considered as the epitome of luxury in the modern time. A sculpture which has adorned the hood of each and every Rollsroyce cars since 1909. A sculpture which arouses the feeling of speed, refinement, euphoria, a feeling called ECSTASY!

Yes! This is the story of the SPIRIT OF ECSTASY!

It all started in 1905 when pioneering automobile journalist John Douglas-Scott Montagu wanted a way to delineate his Rolls-Royce from others

And hence the WHISPER was created! Sykes's first edition of the SPIRIT OF ECSTASY. The sculpture resembled a lady standing on one leg with her gown flowing behind her and a finger on her lips as if she was keeping a secret.

It is said that Charles Sykes's muse for this structure was none other than Eleanor Velasco Thornton, secretary and mistress of Lord Montagu

A sculpture which would covey the spirit of Rolls-Royce, namely, speed with silence, absence of vibrations and a mysterious harnessing of energy. A sculpture which would be recognized as the mascot of Rolls-Royce motoring company. A sculpture which would adorne the hoods of each and every future Rolls-Royce car.
