So I just have one week left. I still can't believe that I am leaving for NYU in just one week. I just finished my high school this year. I then applied for NYU and got a scholarship, i was really happy. nothing could be better then this.
I just want to explore myself, wanting to follow my Great Perhaps. Apparently book are my bestfriends but other then them i have to other bestfriend. I get inspired by a book and follow it until I read another book. If you didnt guess I just finished 'Looking for Alaska' by John Green, last night i read it for the 11th time.
"Lucy" I heard my dad calling me. He was a cool dad and a good friend at least cooler then my mom.
"yeah dad I'm coming" with that I threw my covers. Looking out of the window, it was a beautiful sunny day, reminding me, how beautiful this life is.
My dad was reading his morning newspaper. "here comes my little girl" He use to call me that a lot and I secretly use to love that.
"Morning to you too dad" I said and hugged him from behind and sat on place.
He was calm and a strong person. After all he was the head of the family. In his life time he saw a lot of ups and downs. Coming and settling back in India was not that easy. He didn't knew a lot of people here probably cause he spent most of his life in London. But he never lost hope and now he was a well known and respected guy.
"so dear are you ready for the move, I mean are you done with your shopping and all that stuff that girls do?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah dad I'm almost done" I paused "I was thing that me and Anika and katha... amm we wanted... to go for... amm a girls night out... please.... Can we go?"
I knew he can't say no but still I need his permission.
"Okay love. You know I won't say no but make sure you don't drink much and you have a ride back home."
I finished my breakfast and head back to my room. I decided to call katha and tell her about our plan for tonight.
I had many friends but katha and Anika were my best friends. I spend my most of the time with them though I was pretty famous in my school. You could say i was the little miss perfect of my school. Always getting an A+ is not that easy, you have to study! and because i'm really not a party person so it was easy.
Katha answered in the fourth ring "hey sup?"
"Hey girl guess what?" I hope Anika told her about our plan.
"what is it? Are you not going" she screamed with joy. I remember she was crying when I told her that I was going.
"No, Stupid! Anika didn't told you about the plan for tonight." I paused " amm our girls night out.
"oh really? You want a girls night out? Are you sure?" she sound socked.
Is it a big thing that i want to party? yeah it is cause i dont party. No i always have part parties on my birthdays, without alcohol. yeah it is a big thing.
"yeah, but you pick the club, and what should I wear? I have no idea." I asked.
"Wear something, like a short dress. You wish."
"Okay then, I'm done see ya tonight." With that I hang my phone.
I now thought to call Jay.
Jay is that one guy you would like to talk to when you dont want to talk to anyone.
"Wsup?" he replied. some how it made me smile.
"Wanna hang out? You and me? In the park. NOW!" I said in an somewhat playful tone. And hung up on him.
