I wrote this for school, but I thought you guys might like it. So....... Enjoy!
Once upon a time there was an indian princess named Pocahontas, but this is anything but a normal fairy tale. I look up to see the strange clouds, I run excitedly towards them. I see people who look like me, but lighter skinned getting off the boat. One tall man with striking blond hair to his shoulders catches my eye, 'Could he be Tom? It's been awhile.'I think as I keep looking in case that isn't him, but out of the corner of my eye I catch him look my way. So I duck behind the tree before he sees me. I peek my head out again only to come face to chest with one of them. I look only to see a boy no older than me with brown hair just barely able to be tied back behind his head and piercing blue eyes. I hesitantly look him in the eye as he brings a finger to his lips, reminding to keep quiet. I nod and lead him to a secluded pond, but he keeps looking back every few seconds worriedly. Once we reach the pond, I smash my lips to his affectionately. "I thought you weren't coming back." I mumble into his lips. As we part he says, "How could I not, I love you." "I love you, too," I say as I fall to my knees, him along with me, and lean into him lovingly, closing my eyes. Time seems to stop around us as we sit there, neither wanting to be anywhere else. I hear a twig snap and my eyes fling open to see the blond haired man with his mouth open in shock. "What are you doing out here Tom, especially with one of those?" he hisses gesturing to me. I tense up and Tom calmly states, " This is Pocahontas and we are in love. I will be with her and there is no stopping me, John." " Don't be so sure," we hear as more men step out into the clearing, all with angry faces. The man, who I now is John, steps forward into a fighting stance of sorts. I see tom do the same thing, so I have nothing else to do but get into my own fighting stance. John looks over at me with pure hatred in his eyes as he says, "Prepare to die, you vermon!" I start to shake with rage, but I then see warriors of my tribe step out of the trees, between us and the white men. "Are you alright?" Kocoum asks me pointing an arrow at John's heart. "Yes, we both are." I say thankfully as John takes the hint and stands down. Him and the rest of his men retreat into the trees. Once John reaches the trees, he turns and shouts, "This isn't over, filthy savage!" A tear slips down my cheek as Tom surrounds me in a hug. Kocoum leads us back to the camp and to my father. My father, the chief, looks up as we enter to see me leaning into Tom. He smiles and he greets Tom, "Welcome Tom! I see that you two already caught up." Another tear slips down my face, "I'll explain it all to him if you and Tom wish to go to bed?" Kocoum asks, wiping the tear away. 'He seems to be taking this well considering that Tom took me away from him.' I think in my head as I nod. Later that night, I feel someone grab Tom and I, ripping us apart. Before I have the chance to scream, they cover my mouth. I breath in the oddly sweet smell of the rag covering my mouth only to black out. I wake up tied to a pole with Tom, in the same state, next to me looking at me. "I am so sorry. I love you so much!" I'm confused until I look forward to see guns pointed at us, a firing squad, my mind registers. Fear flashes in my eyes until I look over to see John with a evil smirk on his face, replacing that fear with rage. I look back to Tom, "I love you!" I say quickly as John yells "Fire!" The world goes black to the sound of firing muskets. Two people die for the love they share, now, is that a normal fairy tale to you?
