The Labyrinth Beneath the Woods

The Team

 Bright blue lights turn on as if on a timer as I walk further into the room and see five capsules with people in them. I run down and pull the levers on their capsules to release them they all step out one by one and they all still have their weapons with them. There is an older woman with a long sword and a sheild strapped to her back.

"You must be the next savior, I'm Nixie, I was the second savior of the world. I have been waiting for you to release us from our sleeping chambers. This young one beside me with the whip is Draven he's a little shy when it comes to the new saviors he was the next savior after me."

A young girl with an oddly deformed leg steps up with a kukri strapped to her belt on her right side and a dagger on the other side.

"I am Tanik I was the third chosen to be savior of our world and what Nixie forgot to tell you is that after each of us complete our mission to save the world we become immortal and are sent to help the next savior save the world from the evil chaos."

Next is a young girl with katana on her hip and a young boy with a crown and a scepter.

"My name is Sakura and this here is Keran I was fourth and he was fifth. What is your name though?"

"My name is Victoria my house is right outside of the woods that's how I found this place"

"Well then welcome to the team" Nixie said as she grabbed me and put me in a painful bear hug.

"I can't breathe Nixie" gasped out

"Sorry about that I underestimate my own strength sometimes and I can't tell when I am hurting someone anymore"Nixie said apologetically"I guess Draven got used to it by now isn't that right Draven"

"Kinda" Draven said shyly.

"Stop being so shy Draven you normally aren''t this bad and don't tell me its because she's new you weren't like this with Keran, Sakura, and Tanik you were fine with these three what's up with this savior."

"I just don't trust her yet that’s all" Draven said.

"Well you should learn to trust her it is our job to protect her during the trial test".

"Yes, you must trust her for she is the new savior of our world and she is the one that must seal away the impeding Chaos" a mysterious voice called out.

"Who was that I know that wasn't you Nixie so who was it" I said.

"That was the first savior she wasn't chosen she was brought in we chosen ones are stronger than normal humans but she was not strong enough and she died and now watches over the labyrinth below these grounds" Nixie said sadly.

"Yes, I am tied to these grounds for my body was consumed here by the Chaos" the mysterious voice said.

"So who are you and what is this Chaos you speak of?"

"The Chaos I speak of is a terrible monstrosity that is too hard to explain until you know what lies in the lower levels of this labyrinth and would be easier to explain by your teammates as you reach the lowest levels of the labyrinth. I know Nixie will be able to explain this to you eventually. Now I must go I grow weak in the higher levels I will check on you as you head downward but my soul must rest for now. I shall speak to you all eventually. Good luck everyone."The voice said before disappearing.

"That was Chloe I was supposed to be the one that sacrificed their power but the Chaos took her instead. I was heartbroken when it happened that I was always blaming myself for her death." Nixie said clearly upset. Draven walks up to her and wraps his arms as around her as if to try to comfort her.

"Please don't cry Nixie it wasn't your fault" Draven said pleadingly.

"Thank you Draven" Nixie said.

"You know I care about you Nixie and I hate to see you so upset".

"I know, I'm sorry Draven I just feel guilty about her death I know she's forgiven me but I still can't let it go" Nixie said.

"We should tell Victoria bout her trial test she has to start it tomorrow if we wish to get finished early" Tanik said trying to change the topic.

"Yes I suppose we should Tanik" Nixie said wiping her eyes and turning to Victoria" We previous saviors must make sure you can endure the dangers that lie in the labyrinth"

"What dangers are there" Victoria questioned.

"Terrible monsters lie below these very grounds and they threaten to take over the earth which is why we must protect these grounds and make sure none escape and destroy what little peace there is" Draven spoke up then cowered back down.

"I'm sorry about him being so shy he passed the trial test but Chaos truly got to him and he hasn't been the same since" Nixie said "I'm hoping that we can find a way to reverse the effects and that's why Tanik studies so much of these labyrinth mysteries is to find a cure for him".

"That's ridiculous why would I care" she said looking down blushing.

"Might want to claim him unless you want Victoria to fall for him and we don't need fights if we are going to save this world" Sakura teased.

"Fine, Draven is mine isn't that right sweetie" Tanik said.

"For the rest of time sweetheart, I will always love you".

She ran to him and hugged him tightly.
