Broken

Broken.

It's not something you see.

You can't go up to someone and talk to them and think,

You cut.

You starve yourself.

You don't see your self-worth.

You wish the torture would end.

Broken.

Normal, everyday people.

Like yourself, like your friends, like your family.

They laugh.

They smile.

They play sports.

They sing.

Broken.

Aren't we all?

Don't you have days where you just think,

I hate life.

I can't do it anymore.

I wish they'd stop.

I don't want to try.

Broken.

Don't judge us.

We're people too.

We want love.

We want friends.

We want family.

We want help.

Broken

We call to you.

But you never see it.

I'm fine.

I'm happy.

I'm laughing because I mean it.

I'm good.

Broken.

They're all lies.

We all whisper, from deep within our hearts,

I want a hug.

I need someone to hold me.

I want to cry.

I'm not fine.

Broken.

That's what we are,

and you don't hear us,

Calling.

Screaming.

Crying.

Hurting.

Broken.

Forever.

Broken and lost.

Because you didn't care.

Because you didn't help.

Thanks.

We didn't need it anyways.
