Will pov
We were in the middle of capture the flag, Nico and I were on the same team. Blue. As the night wore on, more and more monsters got through the barrier. Hell hounds were drawn to Nico. He would pet them then demand they go home. Other monsters were as well considering he's one of the big three's offspring. He finally let rip on a rude minatar. That thing found a one way ticket to painsville. Tartarus itself opened in front of it. It stupidly jumped in the hole. Nico then shadow traveled us both back to camp. We were miles away. He promptly blacked out in my arms after that.
Nico pov
I'm sick and tired of these monsters finding us cuz of my blood. So I sent one to hell. Literally. I'm not doin so good now. I grab well and shadow travel to camp seeing as were miles away, and I promptly pass out. Only to remember Will's calm voice saying "Nico stay with me" over and over.
Will pov
I knew I could extract pain from somebody if needed. It looks like it's needed. Although it's just a classic overworked body case, I can tell he's struggling with pain as well. Not physical, but mental. His trip to tartarus put him in an "all hope is lost" state of mind. So I hoped it would work, I extracted some pain from him. Not knowing the source, most likely from tartarus. Soon enough I feel cold hands on my head, and then they check my neck for a pulse. They must think I'm dead. I can't open my eyes or talk, but I know everything that's happening.
Nico pov
I wake up to a scream, blood curdling, eerie scream that only happens when your worst dear is in the room, or you're being stabbed. It was Will. He slumped over the bed, eyes closed, a mixed expression on his face. Oddly between sheer terror and triumph. He doesn't appear to be breathing. So I check for a pulse, then his forehead, for a temp. No good. My hands are always Icy.
He doesn't wake up so I yell for one of his siblings. Taylor, his half sister is the only other Apollo kid who's name I know. She comes running and puts him on my bed. And says he took some of my pain. He passed out because it was too much for him to handle, and to just make sure he's comfy. Not much she can do. She doesn't have the handy "take-away-pain" power that will does. She also says he's too hot temp- wise. I can help with that. If Apollo kids can give heat, that seems to be their thing. Why can't I give out coldness? I put a finger on his temple and focus on the coldness of the shadows I sometimes use to travel in. His fever goes away instantly but he's now shivering. My bad. I'm new at this. Don't give me that look! Geez says Taylor. It worked a little too well we both shiver too.
Will pov
I wake up slowly. Aching all over. How does Nico live like that? I only took SOME of his pain. I'm laying next to him, he's asleep. I put my arm around him and go back to sleep. Not without brushing his obsidian black hair out of his closed, dark, intense beautiful brown eyes. The next thing I know is Taylor comes in and sees us asleep. She does a check up on me, then Nico. Nico must have called her last night when I fainted from his pain. She mumbles to herself that I took a lot of pain in order to pass out. I apparently have a high pain tolerance. She lifts up my shirt to take my pulse with a stethoscope. It's slow but I'm asleep, to be expected. She does the same for Nico. Same as me. Slow heart rate, healthy otherwise. She moves onto my ears, and she leaves my eyes shut. Same for Nico.
Nico pov
I sense will on the bed next to me. Still out cold from using his powers to save my life. His arm is around my waist. I figure that he's a cuddly guy in nature, nothing to get worked up over. I'm still asleep, just I know what's going on around me. I sense Will shutter, then groan as he moves even closer. I'm not judging. I don't get freaked out either. He can't help it, he's out cold. Now if we were awake, and he Knew what he was doing, I'd be mortified. I lay my head on his chest and breathe in his smell of a pure sunny summer breeze. Not being sarcastic either, he really does smell like the essence of a summer breeze.
Will pov
I know I'm asleep, I don't care to wake up. Nico just laid his head on my chest. He mumbles about summer breezes. I mumble about being cold. I feel a blanket being carefully laid over the two of us. Chirons voice says that I woke Nico up with taking pain for him, and that we should be left alone until we wake up. Taylor said Nico cured me of my fever with his cool coldness touch as well. Taylors probably the one who put the blanket on us. Chiron says that it's ok for us to be in the same bed, cuz we don't know of each other's presence, but Taylor could move me to another bed if she deems it fit. She just says ok. Nico mumbles saying he's cold too. I instantly do an Apollo trick and heat up. Taylor just adds a blanket and leaves. Just so Emilia my other half sister could be on duty. She squeals and says "solangelo ship is sailed" she then does the one thing I hoped she wouldn't. Kissed me on the forehead. And whispered "sweet dreams little brother" yes, I'm 1year younger than she is.
"He's adorable when he sleeps isn't he Tay?" Says Emilia. "Yeah he's pretty freakin cute" she answers. "He even looks peaceful. He always looks so troubled when he sleeps in the cabin" Nico moved off of my chest, and I flipped over to my other side. Still asleep. Annabeth walks in with Percy at her heels. "Are they gunna be ok?" Percy asks. "Yeah, both of them used their powers to the point where they blacked out, they'll be fine tomorrow or the next day." Says Taylor. I mumble about doctor stuff. Annabeth notices and says " Never really takes time off I see" Taylor and Emilia both laugh. "He really doesn't, he's exhausted but won't admit it" says Taylor. I loose consciousness and when I'm awake enough to listen I hear Jason walk in. "They've both been in this coma like state for three days,they'll wake up soon" says Taylor. Nico was asleep still on my left. I'm asleep in the same position I was when I eavesdropped last time. "Hey! Wills heart rates up a little" says Emilia. "So is Nico's." Says Taylor as I feel Emilia pull up my shirt and put the stethoscope against my chest. "He's mumbling more too." "What's he saying?" Asks Chiron from the door. "Something about pain" says Taylor. "His heart rate is higher than last night too" " I believe he will wake up soon" says Chiron. "Nico will I presume, wake up first" "ok, thank you" says Emilia. I don't hear anything else for what seems like seconds. "WILL WAKE UP!" Nico yells. I mumble about how It hurts. I feel ambrosia slide thru my lips. Instantly the headache goes away but the aching everything else stays the same. I mumble in Italian and Nico seems impressed. "It's his first language" says Taylor. She's the closest thing to a real sister I have, very amused, having known what I mumbled, nick shakes me. I mumble about not being awake. "No Fucking duh Sunshine" mutters Nico. My eyelids flutter, he gets exited as I blearily stare at him. I rub the sleep out of my eyes. "You were out for 3.5 days"
He answered my question. I slip out of bed, but instantly regret it. I passed out again. Woke up an hour later to a conversation between Taylor and Nico. Discussing tactics on how to wake me up for good, I groan and flip to my other side to hear Nico there begging me to wake up. I gradually open my eyes. Then Nico half yells that I'm awake. He then says to not try to stand up. But just lay there. Jason, Percy, Annabeth, Hazel, Piper and Leo came in and were so exited to see me awake that Hazel gave me a hug, and piper squealed that mission "Solangelo" was go. I know I'm still groggy but I swear she was looking at Nico, who blushed furiously.
Nico pov
Literally an hour after will woke up, and fell asleep again, we were discussing needing to wake him up and how to do that. He flipped over to his other side with a groan. His eyelids fluttered open. I race to his side and beg him to wake up. He opens those gorgeous, sky blue eyes, and stares at me blearily. A quizzical look on his face. He looks at the door, the rest of the seven were filing in, happy that he's finally awake. The girls know why I'm acting strangely. They're not so subtle about it either. Piper squeals about "mission solangelo" being "go" and Annabeth just smiles and winks. While Hazel, knowing how I am, remains acting oblivious with Jason, Leo and Percy. I know Jason knows but he acts dumb too. As for Percy, I know he has some idea but he acts dumb as a defense mechanism. He's a lot smarter than he looks.
Will looks so confused. I don't think he remembers an hour ago when he tried to get up. It passed out again. The seven are here because I was so happy that will woke up and they were curious as to my not usual smile.
Will pov
Everybody was in my room, and I was still out of it. I asked Nico what was happening, why I was there, and why on earth did piper squeal. He did his best to explain that I had healed him of some pain, so I now had some of Nicos pain, the rest of the 7 were here cuz I did my job fabulously, he was happier, so they noticed and wanted to say thank you. As for Piper's squealing, he said he didn't understand girls. That I can agree on. Annabeth told Percy that he had the 'emotional range of a teaspoon' while men do have like three emotions we make up for it in other ways.
