I wake to the annoying chirp of an alarm clock, I look over at the black, sleek alarm clock on my dresser, to see it is 9:13 am. Annoyed at the chirping I grab a nearby book and throw it at the squeaking alarm to finally hear the soothing, refreshing silence. I then get up and put on my dress shirt and hop on my bike and head over to the library for my final study date for a while. When I arrive I see my girlfriend Sandy sitting there waiting for me. I head in and tell her I'm sorry for being late, she looks at me with no amount of surprise in her mind. She tells me we need to get to work because her report is due next week and she knows it's the last day I can help her. So I head off to work and tell her what she needs to know about the Egyptian Empire. After 13 hours of helping her, I tell her that I should probably go and spend the rest of my time with my family. She then says, "Why do you have to go so soon. I wish it were one month away not tomorrow!"," So do I," I say, "I don't want to be 15 I would like to stay with my family and not have to die! But that's not an option... I'm getting embossed tonight at midnight along with getting my hour run... I'm not ready!" I say that as she wraps her arms around me as she starts to weep, tears also swell in my eyes. She then says to me as she is choked up by sadness, "I don't want you to die! I want you to stay! Cause if you die then who will help me through my year?!?" I start to think about her 15th birthday 3 months away. I try to console her when I finally say to her, " To my word I will not let you die out there!" She then asks me, " How are you gonna do that, we are gonna be 3 months away?", I think for a minute on it, as she says to me, " How about you wait for me?"," What do you mean?" I ask, " I want you to stay within 30 miles of my house so that you can find me when I finally turn 15, then we can be together till the end!" She replies. I think about it and finally agree as I look at the time. It is 10:47 pm, so I say my final goodbyes as we kiss, I turn and leave, ready for what's about to happen. I know now, I'm ready to die. I'm not sad for me, I'm sad for her! I head outside and my mom and dad are in the car with a Aegis, a task agent for those who have 15 year olds. He steps out of the Mini Van and escorts me into the car. He then tells my parents to bring me to the Embossing.
