"My parents are king and queen of Urisulem?! Where's Urisulem anyways?! Where will I-"

"Slow down, kid"

He said 'kid' again, and I didn't like it one bit, but I decided not to get mad since he was going to take me to see my parents.

"I'll tell you whatever you'd like to know about your parents or whatever else you want to know, okay? But just shutup, I can't concentrate when you're talking, okay?"

"Alright." I muttered.

It took forever to get to the protection house. It wasn't what I expected either, it looked like a motel.

Ryan turned around and said "This isn't the protection house if that's what you're thinking."

Could Ryan read minds? Was he some type of mind-reader freak?

"Oh, I knew that."

Ryan parked the van and took me out. We walked inside the lobby of the motel. There was a girl no less than 18 with freckles on her face and a long nose. Her hair was bright red and she was looking at us with an angry look.

"Hey.. Welcome to Edina's motels. How may I help you?" She didn't sound to enthusiastic that their were customers willing to go to a trashy old dump like this.

"Do you guys have a room that includes two separate beds?" Ryan's voice was cracking a little.

"Yes, we do."

"Alright cool, how much will it be?"

"$90"

"Really?!" I chimed in. "That's too expensive and obviously you guys don't get a lot of customers, why? Because this place is FILTHY. You can at least charge us about $50."

The girls cheeks were bright red and I could tell I totally embarrassed her. Ryan's face was pale and blank. He couldn't believe I just said that.

"I'm really sorry about this kid, $90 is fine."

"No, he's right. We do hardly get any customers as you can see." Ryan glanced around and noticed no one was in this building and it look liked it could have been an abandoned motel. "The price is $50."

"Really? Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure."

Ryan dug into his pocket and paid the lady $50.

"The room is B09, enjoy your stay at Edina's Motel!"

Ryan took the key and pushed me.

"Hey!" I screamed, "What was that for?!"

"You can't just go around being rude to people!"

"Well I'm sorry, geez."

We found the room and I slid into bed not even bothering to take off my shirt. My body felt warm but cold again.

"I'm going to take a shower, bud."

"Alright, I'm going to be asleep."

I yawned and before I knew it I was dreaming.
