My name is Isabelle Kale, and this is my story.

I lived in a big family. I had three sisters and two brothers. We were a normal family. Just like every other family. I was the second oldest. Maddison was the oldest.

Maddie and I couldn't have been any more different from each other. She had wavy dark brown hair and piercing  ice blue eyes. I on the other hand,  had slightly wavy golden blonde hair with light green eyes.

Maddie was little miss perfect. She had straight A's and had a million friends. I had A's, F's, and everything in between. I had three friends, but I only truly liked one of them. Another thing was, Maddie had never gotten into an actual fight. But I was a different story. I got into fights at least once a month at school. It wasn't my fault though. The other kids were always asking for it.

Anyways, it all began on a Sunday night. We had just finished dinner. We had had my personal favorite, chicken nuggets. Yeah I know. It's not the best meal in the world, but I liked it. Mom and Dad had to work late that night so Maddie and I were babysitting all the little ones. As usual, it was a battle to see who would get to use the shower first. We only had one bathroom and there was no way i was sharing the shower with one of my siblings. My little sister, Hayley, was already asking Maddie if she could get in the shower. I was pretty pissed. Hayley had already gotten in the shower this morning.

"No! Hayley, already had one!" I yelled. Hayley whipped her head around. She was only nine, but if looks could kill I would have already been dead.

"I need another one though! We have school tomorrow!" She whined. She most certainly did not need a shower. Her fiery red hair looked sleek and shiny. I moaned.

"Maddie, can I puh- lease, get one?" I said stressing the 'please.' Maddie gave Hayley a look over and then gave me one.

"Go ahead Isabelle." She said and turned back to doing the dishes. I snatched the towel Hayley was holding out of her hands.

"Brat," I mumbled as i walked past her and into the bathroom. I locked the door and undressed quickly.

I turned on the hot water and jumped in, letting the warm water roll down my back. I grabbed the coconut shampoo and began lathering it into my hair. I began singing Amazing Grace. Singing was one of the only things I could do better than Maddie. I had joined chorus in sixth grade and ever since then my chorus teacher has remarked how I, "Sound like an angel."

I heard a thump and some talking, but I ignored it guessing it was probably just my brothers being rambunctious. I finished the last verse and shut off the water.
