We laid on the rooftop, gazing at the stars above us. I held Ryan's hand tight, the thought of having to let it go only made me squeeze his hand tighter.
What I felt with Ryan around was indescribable, it was like chasing a rollercoaster. The ups and downs, twists and turns, but through it all, I couldn't ever let go of Ryan's hand.
The bright stars overlapped and connected in the dark night sky. Ryan turned his head towards me and smiled. His smile was brighter than the stars in the sky, he practically lit up the night.
I looked into Ryan's eyes and I saw our future. A house in Seattle with a studio and we'd adopt too many dogs and forget our troubles. It was supposed to be our future. But instead, it was just the future that was cut short for us.
