THREE WEEKS LATER

Kenya pov: It's been three weeks since the last time we talked so let me feel you in on wht has happened lately school started back , me and august have gotten close but the bad news is my mom got killed on her way back home from my grandma house

Stil kenya pov:
The next morning I woke checked my phone to see if my mom texted me or called telling me she landed or made it to grandma house but she never did maybe her phone died or something maybe shell call later so i shook it off and got dressed in (mm) did a little makeup and I went downstairs and saw august on the couch watching tv so I went and sat on the love seat and started a conversation

K: hey dad have u talked to my mom lately ?
A: nah I'm starting to get worried it's been three weeks
K: I know and me too I'll try to call her
Conversation over

So I called her first and I got nothing so I told and 5 mins later he tried and got nothing I'm getting really worried and didn't know I was crying till I felt august thumb wipe the till away and pull me in his arms and told me everything was going to be alright.
So we started watching tv but then 15 mins later I got a call so I answered it

Conversation:

K: hello
H: hello is this Kenya Nicole Harris?
K: is who is this ?
H: this is Red River Parish Hospital we had ms. Harris in our care
K: what do you mean had , y was she there ,what happened
H: we're sorry to inform you but Ms. Harris passed , she was here because got in a bad car accident we've been trying to contact you but there was no answer I'm so sorry.
Conversation over

It was like I had lost my bestfriend my mom was my everything I started crying harder august asked what was wrong I told him everything and I told tell he was hurt so the hole rest of the night we just cuddled and cried.

August pov : when kenya told me about chris I was scared for me and her i was sad and angry I just lost the love of my life and now I have to be a good father figure in her daughters life so as kenya was trying I hild her and cried myself damn man now it's just me and kenya as I was holding kenya I heard her beautiful light snores so I gently took her to her room but as I was about to leave she did august could you sleep with me tonight I don't want to be alone and of course I said yes hell I didn't want to be alone either so I got in with her and she brought her little body close to mine and I wrapped my arms around her and we feel asleep .

The next morning

August pov : I woke before kenya cause I wanted to make her breakfast so I made eggs,cheesy grits, and bacon as I was fixing the plates heard her sniffs coming so I sat tge plates on rhe table and got the orange juice and by that time she was already at the table eating so I gave her the glass of orange juice and we eat in silence it was a comfortable one so it was cool and I knew she was still hurting but maybe this is a sigh that me and kenya should be together idk
