Chapter 1- Trauma

I woke up screaming, which frankly wasnt unusual, ever since dad left I have been having these awful nightmares. The scary part is no matter what I do I always end up dying in some guy I don't recognize arms. When I turned six my mom made me start seeing a shrink but Dr. Iverson never helped. In fact she scared me, her hazel eyes always had this evil glint that sent waves of terror up my spine.

I heard someone calling my name in the distance but i tried to ignore it. " Terra, Terra wake up" the voice said sternly. That was when I realized who the voice belonged to. My eyes shot open and I found myself sitting in a lounge chair. "Funny I don't remember coming here"  I said to myself. " Now Terra you were telling me about the dream you had last night" Dr. Iverson said in a calm, monotone voice. I looked at her, confused as to what she was saying. Dr. Iverson stared back at me intently as if she was waiting for something.

I sighed, " Honestly Doc. I have no idea what your talking about, I dont even remember coming here," I said with the calmest voice I could manage. Dr. Iverson looked at me for a split second with a moment of shock before quickly composing herself. " Whats the last thing you remember?" she asked in a steady voice. I paused to think, " The last thing I remember is..." my eyes widened, " My birthday" I whisper in shock. " Speak up please" she said in anticipation. "... my birthday" I said quieter this time. "Terra speak up your mumbling" she said getting annoyed with me. " I said the last thing I remember is my birthday!!!" I yelled in terror. Dr. Iverson let out a sharp gasp making me jump.

"Terra do you realize how long a go that is" she asked. I shake my head unable to speak, " Two months Terra, you cant remember two months." I panic and start sobbing but Dr. Iverson sat in complete silence. What is going on with me? Am I going crazy! "Dr. Iverson..." I sob "Please is there anything you can do to help me?" I ask desperately. " There is one thing... but it's dangerous." She said quietly. "I'll do it" I said confidently.
