"What do we do now?"
The leader looked to the sky.
"We go home."
The team exited with pride and joy running through their veins. It was over. It was finally over. It was back to being normal. Back to the lives they've always wanted to return. With only four months remaining of their senior year, the six of them could make the most of it. Even with the town still talking about the biggest battle ever to hit the Earth. Or so they assumed.
While making their way back to the Command Center, a shadow loomed over the mountain. Watching their every move and step. The eyes locked with each and every hero. They were squinted. A cold, menacing like stare was present. It would send a chill down any spine. And that's what it caused for one of the remaining heroes.
Turning around, one of them checked. Seeing nothing, he quickly caught up with the others. The mysterious guest only became intrigued. With crossed arms, the person walked off. Leaving no trace, it was clear that the war was never over at all.
