Aeternus Absoluta

Chapter I: Initiate

A bell was heard from the distance, its chimes echoing through the wind. Many people gathered around a beautiful, gigantic dome upon the center of the city, The Absolu Sacrosanct. The sphere shape opening and a bright light shines, emerging four beings; Viilus, Xerxes, Ysmra, and Zuusk. A holy presence was made and citizens around kneels before their high council: The Conclave.

Aliis, a young yet small man with an average physiology, his ponytail hair flowing behind his head, his Gi standing out in the middle of the crowd, rushes to the center of the city and slides to the edge of citizens kneeling. He knew he was late, but this ceremony, he couldn't afford to miss. For the past 39 years, His training to become a Universal Absolute was through hard studying and intense pressure. Now, his time has come.

One of the Four Conclaves comes forth and speaks. "Welcome citizens of the planet, Absolu! I am of the Four Conclaves, Ysmra. Allow me to speak on behalf of the Annual 84, 423rd Multiverse Expansion! Welcome Initiates. Step forward and reveal your badge to begin your trial." As Aliis walks forward from the crowd with his hand held high, holding a holographic ID Badge, his so called "best friend", Hel, walks beside him with a villainous smirk on his face. "You do know what that means if I succeed, right?" Aliis questions Hel.

With a smile of sarcasm on his face, he replies, "Yup, becoming an elite douchebag in the entire Multiverse! it's gonna be so very amusing!" They both give off a death stare towards each other as they continue to approach Ysmra. She scans and announces each Initiate participating in the Trials. "ALIIS, UL OF SECTOR 32: ACCESS GRANTED" "HEL, UL OF SECTOR 06, ACCESS GRANTED" They wait for Ysmra to finish scanning other Initiates as Xerxes approaches next to Ysmra and speaks. "Initiates, Welcome to the 84, 423rd Annual Multiverse Expansion Trials! For your Trial, you all will be sent to Universe 00. There you shall be determined whether you are fit to guard a universe! But remember the 7 Principles of Ul!" As Xerxes explains what the Principles are, Aliis silently speaks alongside him, stunning Hel.

"1. Thou shalt not confess existence.

2. Thou shalt not commit violence among Ul.

3. Thou shalt not break the tradition of forbidden magic.

4. Thou shalt not experience the truth of emotions.

5. Thou shalt not abandon the role of Guardian.

6. Thou shalt not stray from the path of Ul.

7. Thou shalt not leave any being in vain."

Hel stares at Aliis, but with a bored yet disgusted face. "Ugh! Stop being such a drag. You don't need to be a know it all nerd to be the best of the best!" Aliis only smirks right back at him and responds back. "Says the one who doesn't think and gets himself in trouble." Hel just glares at him again. Aliis ignores him and thus, Ysmra returns with the other Conclave.

Zuusk comes forward to the surrounding Initiates, announcing the official countdown to prepare them for whatever is necessary and to be in place. A large alley with five spaces in each row appears. A number has been placed on their on their shoulder. Aliis is number 289 and Hel is number 141. As they both prepare for their positions, Hel attempts to discourage him. "You know, your name is of a girl, so perhaps you can't keep up as a man!" Aliis still smirks, his confidence unwaivered. " Keep trying "friend". If it helps you to release your super sensitive temper! I mean, your name may be your downfall." Hel's cocky attitude suddenly falters into an annoyed temper. "Tch, you're gonna be the one who will look up to me now...." He mumbles to himself.

The Countdown has reached into its 20-second mark. Zuusk returns to his fellow siblings and announces, "Initiates! Prepare yourselves!" 15 seconds. "May the 100 who finishes first the best of luck!" The chants of the crowd are heard:

"TEN!! NINE!! EIGHT!! SEVEN!! SIX!!"

Xerxes takes a glance down to the array of Initiates as the final five seconds are counting down. Ysmra notices how focused Xerxes is. "Something wrong, Brother Xerxes?" He replies,"No, nothing wrong at all. It's just....." Ysmra focuses on where Xerxes is looking. "Number 189??" She asks. "Something is about him, something.... special."

"THREE!! TWO!!! ONE!!!"

The sirens ring and a portal, The Gate to Universe-00 opens. Thousands of Initiates run, push, and shove each other to go in first.

The Trials have begun.
