"so what's his name?" peter asked out of no where on our way to my school.

"who?" I asked though I already knew.

"I can smell the admiration coming off you. it's sickening." He said not taking his eyes off the road.

"he's no one, pete." I rolled my eyes.

"if he's no one then why would it hurt to tell me his name?" he asked raising a brow as he made a turn.

"fine. his name is isaac lahey." I gave in. the car came to a sudden stop making me jolt forward and hit my head. "what the-"

"no."

"what do you mean no?" I held my head in pain.

"you like isaac lahey?!" he asked.

"yes. why?" I furrowed my brows.

"no. you cannot like that little asshole." he shook his head. "you cannot like a werewolf."

"werewolf?" I asked in shock. he nodded. "how do you know he's a werewolf?"

"because he's one of derek's betas." he replied.

"derek?" I repeated. "he's alive?"

"yes. did you not hear the part ab-eric! where are you going?" I jumped out of the car.

"to go find my puppy." I replied.

"he's at your old loft." peter grumbled.

I kissed him on the cheek. "thanks pete."

"whatever." he blushed. I closed the door before waving as he sped off.

my feet moved faster than to the thoughts in my mind. I weaved through the trees before making it to the building I used to call my home. for some reason, I thought it was a good idea to just walk through the door without knocking. by the time I realized it wasn't, I was pushed up against the wall.

I totally, out of instinct, made a big bubble of water above his head and dropped it on him. our eyes widened as we took in each other's new features. his hair was the same along with his ears, and there was stubble on his cheeks. his bunny teeth, which I always teased him about, had somehow became more visible when he bared them. his eyes...they were...oh my gosh my son's an alpha.

"derek?"

"eric?"

we said in sync. we were always like that. talia always said we were like twins. talia. what if she's still alive like peter and derek. a bit of hope sparked in me. derek pulled away to take me in before pulling me into a hug. I "tried" to push him away. "eww derek. you're all wet." (don't) he chuckled holding me tighter.

"der?" I heard a small voice. derek let me go, and I raised my head and saw a pale boy with moles dotting his face. he had nothing, but a large leather jacket wrapped around him and a pair of underwear which I'm pretty sure were lacy and red. my brows furrowed. I realized I recognized him.

"stiles?"

"um hi? who are you exactly?" he asked. I felt a tinge of hurt since we've been going to the same school forever, but I still just grew more confused than hurt.

"why I am eric. der's brother. I go to BHHS." I said. my eyes wandered back to the raven. "derek, would you like to explain." a blush began to coat his cheek barely seen behind his stubble.

"well me and stiles-"

"stiles and I." stiles interjected. derek glared at him.

"stiles and I were simply um celebrating his...birthday." I squinted my eyes nodding not convinced. "you see, his friend, lydia, took him shopping to vi-"

"jesus christ derek." stiles said rolling his eyes. "we were fucking. he knows we were fucking." he flailed his arms letting go of the jacket. suddenly hands were placed over my ears.

"derek? what is fucking?" I pulled his hands off my ears. "people at school say it, but whenever I ask what it means, they just laugh at me."

stiles and derek stared at me mouths agape. "well um.."

"anyway, derek I missed you. I haven't seen you for years." I pouted then looked away. "I thought you were dead."

"same for me to you." he replied. "how did you know I was here?"

"peter told me." I told him.

"oh." derek had a weird look on his face, but I just ignored it.

a spark of hope settled in me. I mean if derek survived then maybe...

"where's auntie?" I asked him.

his eyes widened, and he cleared his throat. "the only people who survived was you, me, laura and peter."

"oh." my heart crumbled. "so where's laura?"

"she um, she passed a little while ago, eric." he looked like he wanted to say more, but he kept his mouth shut.

I pushed my tears down, and I forced a smile. "well I'm happy you're here."

he pulled me into another hug rubbing on my back.

I bit my lip pulling away and stuffed my hands in my pockets. "so you have betas now? what's that like?"

he scratched the back of his neck. "yeah. three actually. not the smartest bunch though."

"I mean I'm just jealous you're around isaac so much."

"what?"

"what?"
