So, it is once again the day which he forgot your birthday, the day you wanted to be spoilt, felt special and loved. You woke up, once again without him by your side. You've been married to him for almost 5 years. You know him better than he does himself. You thought as you got ready to start your special day which would unintentionally change everything.

You met him 10 years ago in Business Studies when you both were in Business Class in University. He sat behind you. He made you heat up with every gesture of his as he asked for a spare pen or a refill which you gladly handed over. You were young and just about to enter the real world when you both became closer than the 'Just Friends' zone.

5 years later in English class, you were both Business graduates and starting to grow your own business when you both got married. You wished you could bring back those days when all attention of his was on you. Your were never happy like you are today with your son. Of course, your son was your little piece of him. You thought as you fed your son.

Since the day he was granted a 5 month business trip with his new assistant, he is more enthusiastic in 'business' then he was a year ago. You loved how he complained at dinner about his day at work, the employees who were annoying and how he missed you and your now 3 year old son all day at work. You smiled while washing the dishes.

Now, he never even calls you during work, comes late when you're asleep and leaves when your asleep. He's almost the bad father everyone knows about. At the moment, you both hardly talk to each other. In reality you both would only say anything to each other would be at press conferences when both your teams wanted to collaborate.

Or if he goes to work late which you purposefully changed his alarm, so that you could be with him in the mornings, you didn't care if he was frustrated or in a rush. You were happy with his desperate presence. But he always rejected breakfast or your help. You felt alone and desperate.

Sunday's are the only day where you get to spend time with him. Well every fortnightly sunday. So you would always miss seeing him on the second week. But when he is at home, he would be with friends at the club or spend time with our little one which i'm grateful for.

You two would only have small conversations if we both came across each other. you would stare at him watching tv as he falls asleep. He's really handsome you admired. you felt lucky and jealous that he doesn't spend any time with you now. Your 26 and he's 27, you felt old.

Other then that you both were busy. You understand that being a company's manager is stressful and difficult, especially when you have a 3 year old son who needs the time to be played with and taught. But you as a mother have done all you could to be there for your son when he hasn't. You thought it wasn't his intention.

A maid isn't enough to take care for your son. He won't receive the motherly love which a mother could give, so now you just gave your resignation letter to become a full time stay home mum which you were successfully given. You don't know how he would react or if it even mattered to him now. He's a different person to you, that's all you knew about him.

"I hope you'll feel better in the coming years, and you little one! i wish to see you when you're all grown up. How about we'll catch up after 6. I swear i would have left that bastard a long time ago... "

The new CEO, Jenny who replaced me wished me well as i was heading home with my son inside the stroller. I thanked her and wished her well too as we worked together for 2 years as business partners and as good friends.

You felt relieved and stress free as you were free from the 'work zone.' You got home at 11am and took a nap after feeding and resting your son to sleep. Hoping to wake up on time. You had a small fluff dream of you and him, messing around and having fun, he wished you a happy birthday which made you smile in your sleep.
