*Ring,Ring*"Ugghh"
*Ring,Ring*
"Five more minutes."
*Ring,Ri- slamming my hand down on my alarm clock, groaning remembering that I have to go to work. Pulling myself out of the little burrito of warmth I made, into the cold morning air. Shivering I walk over the bathroom, stripping my pj's off I hop into the shower. Once I'm done washing my long golden hair that goes all the way down to my waist, I quickly shave my legs. Turning the water off and wrapping the towel around me I go to fetch my close. Turning my music on, I hear it through out the apartment cause of the speakers I spread through out it. Sitting down put a little bit of mascara on making my hazel and greeny eyes pop and concealer on the scar shaped as an X on my jaw. I never really knew were I'd got it from no one told me. Considering I've been an orphan my whole life. The only thing I have of them is the blanket I was found in and the necklace around neck, it was a metal heart shaped locket but I just couldn't open it. Some part of me knew my parents were out there somewhere and like it was my destiny to find them.
Skipping into my kitchen and grabbing breakfast I slip my shoes on and grab my car, house, and work keys. Before locking the door I check if I have everything. Yep. Locking the door. Walking down the hall listening on how quiet it is, looking at my watch to see it's only 6:30. In the elevator. My phone rings. Grabbing it out of my bag, I see it's my best and only friend Carly. We've been best friends since the sixth grade. She didn't care that I was an orphan, not like everyone else. She had bright blue eyes and dark brown hair, her body was like a Victoria's Secret models. Well mine was just curvy, I never been confident of it. But Carly all was says that I have to love my body before I love myself. She always made my feel happy. But after we graduated high school she got a volleyball
scholarship to a University in Washington. Meanwhile I'm back here in California. Answering the call I instantly regret it. I hear her start singing. Wait, is that happy birthday. Did I forget her birthday! As I start my car she finally finishes. Turning her on speaker."Happy Birthday Beth!" Carly squeals loudly into the phone.
"What do you mean."
"Seriously? You forgot it was your birthday, your finally 19!"
"Oh my god it's the 21st already."
Yep it's August 21st aka your birthday, so as your friend I demand you do something g fun today."
"But I have work."
"No you don't I called and said your sick today."
"W-what!"
"Hush child you will thank me later, now go have some fun."
"Ok,ok bye C."
"Bye B."
Sighing not knowing what to do. Looking around I decide to go to were I was found. It was up in forest on the bank of a river. Reaching my destination. The sun is almost fully up. Walking through the forest to the river, I sit down and look down at the water, thinking about what my life would have been like if had my parents. Who knows, maybe I was kidnapped, or my parents hated my guts and wanted me gone but I knew that wasn't true. Putting my head in my hands, sighing.
"Why is my life such a mystery," I mumbled to myself.
*Crack
Jumping up at the sound, I look to see no one there. But out of the corner of my eye I see movement.
"Hello, is anyone there?" Backing up, I run and jump over the river landing on the other side. Wading into the bushes, looking for any sign of life.
"Ok I'm officially lo-" *Crack. Quickly running towards the sound, I start to hear voices. In a clearing a head of me a see two men arguing. What the heck are they wearing? It looks like armour. Slowly backing away, I try not to get caught. Snap. I freeze knowing that I be been caught but seeing as their not there anymore must be a good sign. Right?.....WRONG! Before I can turn to run I'm pushed and thrown to the ground.
"Well look what we have here Duttle." Says the bigger o f the two in a English accent, assuming they must be British.
"Yah Zig, what would a little thing like this be all the way out here in the forest."
"I was just leaving I swear just please let me
go," I say trying to get up but it was no use since they kept pushing me down."Well yah see we can't do that, our duty is to take anyone with us who we find, while we're working," futile says with a big smirk. With almost ninja like reflexes he puts a bag over my head and throws me over his shoulder.
Hearing a sound of a whoosh and blinding light I can see shinning through the bag, I start freaking out.
"What the heck is your job anyway and way do you have to take me!" I yell frustrated. As he walks though the light I sense the atmosphere has changed a lot. Taking the bag off my head I look around in disbelief and shock. I ain't in Kansas no more. Every where I turn it's lush fields of grass and tall forests. In the background stands giant mountains. All if a sudden I see flashes in my head an image. No. There way to detailed even when it's fuzzy. A memory? But I've never been here before. Stumble over grabbing the nearest thing to steady myself. Duttle. Grabbing me by the shoulders he shoves me into the back of a wagon.
"You asked what our job was, we're looking for the lost princess."
Hope you liked it, I'm not that very experienced at writing but this is my shot to try and write something that peaks my interest
