if hansol had to pick two things to take with him to the moon, the first things that would come to mind would probably be seungkwan and kimchi soup. not necessarily in that order.

the choice of seungkwan would be a given - they'd been dating for around two years now, so it wouldn't be any big surprise that hansol would want his soulmate to stick around - however many people would question why he'd also choose kimchi soup - after all, soup probably wasn't the best delicacy to take into outer space.

hansol knew that it would be a stupid choice. he was, after all, studying astronomy in university, and was well-aware of all the consequences that bringing kimchi soup would come with, but he would still do it, 150%.

why?

because kimchi soup was when he'd really started connecting with seungkwan.

hansol had always been relatively dependent on his family, so when they suddenly sprung the idea of him living outside of the house for the rest of senior year on him, he'd nearly choked.

"excuse me? where did this come from?"

his mom shrugged, clearly ambivalent to the situation. "your father and i have been talking, and... well, we think that maybe you should learn to be more independent before you head off to university."

"i'm going to university in seoul anyway!" hansol exclaimed. "why do i have to spend more money renting a place when i could just stay here?"

"like i just said, it's to build your independence. we've already looked into some possible places for you to check out."

as much as he'd wanted to argue, he managed to keep his mouth shut; he'd seen enough dramas to know that arguing back at this kind of thing would generally result in the character developing a bad relationship with the parents.

so it wasn't any big surprise when he found himself standing in front of an apartment located on a street that hansol had never heard of, his luggage in one hand and his headphones dangling around his neck three days later.  "breathe in, breathe out," he muttered to himself. re-adjusting his grip on his carry-on suitcase, he was about to head in when a boy came barrelling out of nowhere, blocking hansol's path as the boy stumbled to a stop.

"hi! i'm assuming you're my roommate.... woah."

the boy had turned to face him. he was a handsome boy, with chubby cheeks and a friendly, welcoming aura. his face, however, had morphed into one of awe as he examined hansol's face.
