At some point, Jessie and I fell asleep in the field. When I woke up, his head was on my lap and he was curled up like a puppy. It was absolutely adorable. I didn't have the heart to wake him up, so I let him sleep.
"N-niles?" Came his soft voice.
"Yes?"
"I-I'm sorry, for everything. The fight, the confession. I'm sorry." He said, beginning to break down.
"Shhh, shh. It's ok. It doesn't matter. I forgive you. I will never be mad at you. How could I? You're just so, likeable."
I confess.
"R-really? You're sure you're not just saying th-that?" He stuttered.
"Of course. I really like you." I state.
"Really?"
"No, of course not. How could I say that. I f**king love you." I confess. I blush and look away sheepishly. I hear him gasp. Then a strong arm wraps around my shoulder.
"You know what? I love you too. Honestly, how could I not? Your personality, your smile. Just, everything. I can't take my eyes off of you." He states, staring into my eyes. His burning blue orbs pierced mine. He's perfect. My mothers voice plays through the back of my head. I know that she would've loved Jessie. My dad on the other hand, would have wanted to murder him. He was homophobic to the extreme. When I came out to them, he banished me from the house for a week. Before I knew what was happening, Jessie's lips were on mine. Sparks shot through my body as I hesitantly kissed back. After a minute I broke the kiss for air.
"Jessie?"
"Yes?"
"Are you ok with this, with us?" I asked.
"As long as you are." Was his gentle reply. I smiled and nuzzled deeper into his chest.
"So, the police are kind of trying to kill us, what do we do?"
"I don't know, kill them?" Suggested Jessie.
"I don't care how much I love you, but we are not killing the police!" I state.
"Awwww, why not?" He asks.
"Because the remaining police will murder us." I remind him.
"You have a point." He admits.
"Of course I do." I boasted, striking a pose and failing miserably. Jessie laughed as I fell on my face.
"Good job princess, I totally want you as my dance teacher." He jokes.
"Oh shut up, will you?" My voice comes out muffled due to the ground covering my face. Jessie laughs and pulls me up. He just, stared at me for a minute. It was, awkward to say the least."So uh, have you seen any cute dogs lately?" I asked. He snapped out of his 'trance' and laughed.
"Umm, what?"
"Nothing, it doesn't matter. Anyways, we should go." I said, getting up. He nodded and stood up with me. Before I could take a step forward, he grabbed me and threw me over his shoulder.
"G-gah!?" I yelped. He laughed and gently squeezed me.
"Hold on princess."
"Wait, wh-" And with that he took off. Running faster than I've ever seen anyone move in my life. I wanted to speak, but he was squeezing the air out of me. We quickly ran into a small patch of trees and stopped. He dropped me and I immediately ran towards the small stream up ahead and threw up my intestines. Best. Day. Ever.
