"Happy 18th birthday, sweetie!" Mother leaned in, sweeping my hair aside and kissing my forehead.
"Thanks," I gleefully smiled. Today I'm turning 18, even though I was born at 2 AM which is technically tomorrow.
"Rize (Re*Say*), darling, have a wonderful sleep," I looked over at my father. A worried glace glinted in his eyes. Why is he worried? I shake off the thought and grinned.
"Yes, father! I will, have a nice rest as well!" I give them both a big huge before I run upstairs , into my room. Usually I stay up all night checking my Instagram or something on my phone, but I don't want to disappoint my parents yet. I snuggle in, letting my body dent the mattress. Before I knew it, I was knocked out cold, sounding slumber.
I groaned, a scream waking me up. Odd, I didn't wake up to my mother opening up the curtains and yelling me a birthday wake up. I slowly open my eyes and rustle my messy hair, looking at my clock. "What the... 11PM? That's so late and I have school today.." I hop out of bed and run out my room, across the hallways and into my parents' room. "Huh..they aren't there either.." I stumbled down the stairs, hoping to find a note they leave the house every time without telling me. I look around, studying every inch of the room. Nope, they aren't here and there's no note. I open the door, taking in count how it's not locked. I hear the scream again as the light blurs into my vision. When it clears, I see a girl horrified and looking at the sky, so I run towards her, kneeling down besides the girl. "A-Are you okay?" I stammered. What's going on?
"L-Look!" She pointed up at the sky, not looking away. I look up to see a full eclipse with a white penumbra (The ring of fire around the moon, if you know what I mean). But if that wasn't enough, there was a triple Moonbow (It's a literal thing but the meaning is a rainbow during the night), I've never seen one before.. This definitely isn't my home.
"W-Where are we?"
