Chapter one 'THE HEART SAVER'

ELIZABETH'S POV

'Hey lizzie the doctor Called he said your father didn't make it' those words kept repeating in my mind, stabbing me in the heart every time. It was the day after my 17th birthday and my dad had been in hospital fighting cancer for 3 years now, I think it was kind of reliving that he was put out of his misery but it hurts because he's was the only thing I have left except for Joey my boyfriend and a few friends. I hated the thought that I wouldn't have my parents there to help me through all these tough times. 'Elizabeth are you ok' I heard the voice of my best friend Libby she had gone through the same thing 4 years ago when her parents both went missing in a car accident 'yeah I'm fine I just feel like crap' I said lying in bed 'you've got to get ready it's time for his funeral' she said 'his death was a week ago please. Oh and when you come out Joey wants to talk to you' she quickly continued. As I got up and got dressed I met Joey outside 'hey babe' I said on the verge of tears 'hey we need to talk, why haven't you come to see me, look I don't want to do this but I'm gonna break up with you' he said and all I wanted to do is cry and curl up again 'fuck you, you know what I'm going through right one that's why I haven't seen you' I screamed 'ba...' He sympathetically said before I cut him off 'no don't do that to me mist piss off I don't want to see you anymore please just go please' I'm now in tears I ran towards the house and I bumped into Sarah 'hey what's wrong' Sophie asked 'he broke up with me' I continued to run down the hall crying 'hey lizzie come on push it away for today please it you Father's Day we will deal with it later' she was my helper through all these tough times even when they get tougher.

After the funeral was over I caught up with Sarah and Libby again 'hey girls could you help me with my breakup I mean why does it hurt so much' I couldn't help but ask 'it's alright we just need to get rid of everything that reminds you of him' Sarah said. She obviously knew what she was doing she has had a fair share of them 'we'll help you' they both said reassuringly.

This morning I decided to go for a surf, so I go up at around the usual time to surf put my bathers and wetsuit on grabbed my board and headed down to the water. As I was walking along the beach towards the point I saw a huge crowd of people I just thought it was stars on the beach again, I just ignored it and kept walking. When I got to the point I jumped on my board paddled through the impact zone and sat out at sea for a wave. As I waited I looked back at the beach where the crowd was and they where still there, but as I continued to look I saw a blonde haired boy paddling out, he looked familiar but I ignored it and kept paddling. The waves were really bad today but I decided it was nice to be back in the water so I stayed in for a while. As I sat on my board the figure kept getting closer and closer until he was right next to me. 'Hi I'm Niall' he said as his beautiful eyes glowed 'I'm Elizabeth but you can call me Lizzie' I said 'you obviously came from over there' I pointed to the crowd 'um...yeah I left the boys to deal with them' he replied 'hey are you alright I saw you over there at the beach?' 'Uhh...I guess so I mean umm...' I couldn't spit it out was I going to cry ' I'm sorry you really don't have to tell me if you don't want' he said but that just pushed it out 'no um it's just my dad pasted away a few weeks ago and my boyfriend well ex broke up with me yesterday so I thought I would surf today and now I met you' I cried again 'umm...I'm sorry for crying' 'no don't apologise I mean it happens and I'm so sorry do you want to get a coffee or something later?' He asked 'yeah, yeah that would be nice we should go now if that's ok' Niall comforted me unlike anyone had in a while.

After we got a coffee I took Niall to meet the girls 'hey so do you want to do this again tomorrow but you all can meet the boys' he asked 'um yeah that would be nice thanks' Sarah replied Niall gave me a hug goodbye and then he left with his board. 'It looks like some ones in love' I heard Libby say wanting a response I ignored her and kept looking back at Niall 'I think so' Sarah added 'oh shut up you two stop talking about my love life and talk about your own' I replied it felt good to have met Niall today. 'Hey when are you going to get a new boyfriend Sarah?' Libby said taking my advise 'oh stop it lets go surf' I said. We all grabbed our boards and left this time we went straight off the beach instead of at the point there where more waves over there so we caught a few. Then I sat on the beach as the girls surfed for a while longer. After a while I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around it was Niall again 'hey do you wanna come with me the boys and I are going to rehearsals' he asked 'umm...yeah sure I'll just go and get changed I will see you in five k' I replied 'yep bye' I love the way he just turns up and his cute little face.

After Niall picked me up and I met the boys they went to rehearsals as they continued I had to message the girls and tell them where I had gone. After they knew I got a call from Niall 'hey come around the back I wanna talk to you' he said in his sweet tone 'ok' I replied. As I went around the back I found Niall standing next to a wall 'hey come here' he said so I walked over to him 'why did you talk to me before out in the surf' 'because I felt better when you where around like no one else had make me feel in a long time' whoops that one slipped I put my hand in front of my mouth in shock 'I feel the same but I need to know if you want to be with me that you will promise to keep it a secret and never tell the world until we are prepared' he said 'I...umm...ok' I replied ' I love you' he said as he kissed my forehead.

NIALLS POV

Two weeks had passed and lizzie and I are still a secret but I love her too much to put her out there. I can't wait until her and her friends come on tour with us, plus we all heard about louis and Sarah and now they are the highlights of the week with the paps everywhere. 'Hey Harry can you help me with something' I asked quietly 'yeah what with?' He said 'umm...it's just me and lizzie' I stuttered 'yes I know your going out with lizzie but keep going' he said 'what how do you know' I asked ' umm it's kind of obvious but I haven't told anyone' I was so relived 'yeah well about that we want to tell people but I can't let her get flooded with cameras' I said 'dude if she wants to tell people then tell and you just have to deal with it' he replied 'thanks for that but still don't tell anyone while we won't make a decision' I said 'k' he replied and walks away. I decided to call lizzie 'hey babe' I started 'hey what's up wait I'll come around k' she said and only a few minutes later she was around the corner. 'Hey' I said as I hugged and kissed her forehead 'hey what did you want' she asked 'umm do you still want everyone to know about us' I asked her as she took a step back 'yeah but only if you want to' she said as her eyes started to stare at me 'yeah but can we start with only the boys knowing then a few more people I just don't want you to get hurt' I said with concern 'ok if it makes you happy but Harry already knows so does Libby' she said getting happier 'ok thanks I love you' I said as she dug her face into my chest 'I love you to' she whispered I gave her a kiss good bye and we walked over to the boys I held lizzie's hand as we walked in 'BTW Harry told us' Zayn said 'fuck you harry' I said under my breath 'please keep it to yourselves for now' lizzie said as she kissed my check and walked away.
