Chapter 2 - Meeting Zach and Gray

"Hey Claire!" I say running up to her. Go to hug her but she steps back looking at my shirt, I frown and look down. (Ha that rhymes) I see my shirt is covered in black grease, my hands too, most likely my face aswell. "Oh, sorry. I'll hug you another time!" I joke and she laughs too. "What's up?" I ask them. "Oh, I was just here to ask Mr. Grady-" she gets cut off by Owen, "Owen." He says shortly. She continues "Owen, to look at our new attraction. The indominus Rex." I nod and smile, "cool! Should be good!" I say to them. "Yes it should. Oh, and Morgan, I was wondering if you could take my nephews on a tour of the park for me today. You can take Elena or Nora with you." I smile, "uh sure, how old are they?" I ask her. "The older one is about high school age and the other is middle school age?" She says. She doesn't know her nephews age??? Ok... "Sure that should be fine." She smiles, "Great! My assistant, Zara, is with them now in the visitor centre. If you could meet her there that would be great!" I nod. "Ok cool. I will head off now. Owen can I borrow your buggy, I will leave it at the raptor centre." I ask him. "Yea sure kiddo. Seeya soon." He says as I jump on the buggy. I wave over my shoulder and head over to the triceratops area first. "Hey Nora, Elena. Want to watch over Claire's nephews with me?" I say while on the buggy. "No way!" Says Elena, "OK, you Nora?" She smiles. "Sure! Is that ok Maria?" She asks the other trainer. Maria nods. I fist pump, "Yesss! Jump on, Seeya Elena." I call over my shoulder. We get to the raptor centre, park the bike and start walking to the visitor centre. "So how old are they?" Nora asks me. I shrug, "not sure. I don't think Claire even knows!" I say with a laugh, Nora laughs too. "You know you have grease on your clothes, hands and face right?" Nora asks while laughing. "Yes, I was aware of that. " I say while also laughing. We walk into the visitor centre which is buzzing with people. "Come on cuz, let's find Zara." I say while walking through a crowd of people all giving me off looks. The damn grease on my face probably. "Morgan, Nora!" I hear a British voice say. I turn to where the voice came from. I see Zara, "Hey Zara, we've been sent by Claire to..." She interrupts me "yes, Claire told me everything." Says Zara looking at me strangely. "Come along, let me introduce you to the boys." She says hurrying to two boys. She motions us to follow her and Nora and I do without objection. When we are behind Zara cough awkwardly as she is having a conversation with these two boys. She then starts to introduce us. "Morgan, Nora. This is Zach and Gray Mitchell. Zach and Gray, Morgan and Nora. " she says hurriedly. "I really have to go. Have fun." She hurries away and we are left with an awkward a silence. "Um, hey...." I say awkwardly trying to start up a conversation. "I'm Morgan, I'm fifteen. That's my cousin Nora who is twelve going on thirteen. " I say very awkwardly. I don't know why but the tall one, I think is Zach, makes me nervous. The little kid with light brown, curly hair starts talking. "I'm Gray! I'm thirteen. And that's Zach, he's sixteen." Gray holds his hand out to shake and Nora and I tear his hand. He seems really nice. Zach, however, is on his phone with his headphones on. Really? "Anyway. We are supposed to show you around. Do you want to go see the baby triceratops? That's where I work, I train them." Says Nora excitedly. "Oh my gosh that's soo cool! Let's go!" Says Gray. He grabs Zachs arm and pulls him along for a bit before Zach gets fed up. "What?" He says angrily. "We are going to see the baby triceratops. You coming or not?" I say while Gray nods. "Yea, I guess." Zach says moodily. What is his problem? We walk to the triceratops, Zach is on his phone the whole way. When we reach the triceratops Gray gets so excited! He is literally jumping up and down while Nora blushes and looks down. She calls over three triceratops and introduces them as Ada, Ivy and Cam. She shows Gray how to pet them. "Hey Zach, wanna see the triceratops?" I ask him. He looks at me for a minute and I start to get self conscious. "Do I have something in my face?" I ask concerned. He nods and smiles, wow, that smile... Snap out of it! I wipe my forehead and find grease. "Oh yeah, I forgot about that..." I laugh, he does too. "So you want to see the triceratops?" I ask again, he shrugs. I shake my head "Come on, they're cute!" I say and walk over to them. He follows me and stands next to me as I call over two triceratops. He smiles at me again... OMG his smile is so perfect!! And he is really hot... STOP IT MORGAN!! I showed Zach how to pet them and he looked like he was having a good time. "Hey Morgan, is it true you train the T-Rex? " Gray asks me. "Nora!! It was supposed to be a SECRET!" I say with emphasis on secret. "So you do train it?" Asks Zach. I turn around to face him and nod. "That's cool." He says. "Can you show us?!?" Asks Gray. "Umm, maybe. If she cooperates. The next feeding is in five minutes. " I say nervously. "Let's go then!" Screams Gray. Him and Nora then go running off. I sigh. "Kids huh?" Zach says to me. I nod with a laugh. "They can be full on. Nora hasn't been this happy since..." I trailed off, thinking about mom and dads death was always hard. "Since what?" Zach asks as we walk. "Our parents deaths. My mum, dad, Aunty and uncle went off to a mysterious island for a holiday. They all died and so Taylor, Elena, Nora and I were left. Claire took us under her wing and let us stay here. She has done so much for us...." I say quietly. I don't cry but I am very upset. "I'm sorry, that's awful." Zach said sounding genuine. "Yea it is. But you learn to move on and leave the past in the past." I say with a sigh.
We arrive at the T-Rex cage when I hear a voice "Warning, T-Rex feeding may be disturbing to some children."
