The Medic

A just  three years of age, suddenly, Mark refused to sleep next to his mother and insisted she was sick, despite the fact she was young and energetic. Weeks went by and he kept insisting to take his mother to a doctor. After a while his mother visited the doctor and was diagnosed with diabetes. Years later, he realized his closest friend was developing leukemia and his neighbour's mom had a heart murmur. He connected the dots by the time he was 21 and started seeing illness in strangers. He began taking it upon himself to warn people.

Mark is 21 years old, 5ft 9" tall pre medical student. With brown eyes and dark black hair, he is very attractive. He wears white gloves in any weather (his ability made him paranoid about catching a disease). He speaks and acts in a cold and clinical way, ensuring he doesn't get attached to any of the people he encounters, he makes his diagnosis and bolts to avoid confrontation. He doesn't keep in contact with the people he warns and often gets aggressively negative or condescendingly skeptical responses from people.

This power is not something he broadcasts because he fears he would not be able to handle the amount of people who would flock to him. He also wants to help as many people as is possible. He feels that his power is a blessing for others but it was proving to be a hurdle in his studies. He felt obligated to save people's lives by warning them in advance and all of those who took his advices seriously benefitted and those who mocked his predictions suffered.

He cannot recall when and how he started feeling this uncanny power. It was when he was just two years old he was about to be drowned in the bath tub and a miraculous intervention of his mother saved his life. In the beginning it was just to feel strange to be near the sick person and then it developed to a level that he could see red dots moving over the head of a sick person making a pattern of the affected part of the body.

All the psychologists are skeptical of his ability and find no rational explanation of his powers. A psychic, a magician, a holy man whatever he is called he has never got any financial advantage from his natural ability. He is kind hearted, gentle and generous. He still has ambition to become a qualified doctor but he is finding it hard to give proper time to his studies.

He has kept thinking of why people become sick and suffer and to his own astonishment he discovered that most of the time a disease is linked with amoral behaviour of a patient. Being a very shy person in the beginning he never talked to any body about moral causes of a disease.

He decided to investigate his theory and asked politely to the patients to leave some bad habits and do some charitable contributions to the society and he has always found an improvement in their conditions.

He is afraid to reveal his invetigations although he has clearly established the nexus between some common incurable disease and amoral behavior. "Diabetes has link with unkindness, respiratory illness are a way of nature to humiliate the extra vain people, cancers have a direct link with illgotten wealth."
