The bridal procession begins.
Caleb fiddles with his tie.
He wasn't a fan of ties, but this was the tie worn by his father when he was married.
Black and silky,
With a five pointed star.
From the corner of his eye,
He can see the bride making her way across the bright graveyard.
Her dress plumes around her in puddles of black lace and indigo silk.
His throat tightens as he sees her blue eyes beyond the mesh black veil.
She comes down the aisle now, the piano score growing louder.
Quicker.
All around him is deafening silence.
But the piano, and the loud beating of his heart.
She approaches him and smiles, lacing her fingers with his own.
The reverend chuckles and adjusts his collar,
Then begins to read
"Do you Caleb, take Jess, as your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do."
The reverend turns to Jess.
"Do you, Jessie, take Caleb as your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do"
"Then by the power invested in me, Lucifer, and the state of California, I know pronounce you man and wife."
Caleb lifts the veil and leans down to kiss his new bride
When all of a sudden, everything stops.
Jessie's head turns to the left, as Will approaches.
"What are you doing here?"
She hears someone shriek.
"Jessie! Jessie you can't marry him. Its me! You were always supposed to pick me!"
A child, about two years old fumbles with the ring box he was holding.
"Daddy, whos that man?"
Caleb smiles at the black haired, green eyed child.
"Don't worry, Skyler, he'll be leaving now."
Caleb steps down from the veranda, approaching Will at a swift pace.
"Papi! Peraté!"
Daddy, wait
A little girl calls, her features mirroring her brother's
Caleb does not turn back.
He grabs Will by the collar.
"I thought you were told to stay away."
Will struggles.
"Shut the fuck up. I could take her from you. She should of picked me."
Caleb laughs at Will's foolish comment.
Then that same eerie voice, from ten years before calls
"No, fool. You should've picked her."
Caleb laughs maniacally, and hurls Will to the ground
Down below
In the darkness
Of Hell.
