Maxs' p.o.v

Nina walked in the next morning, I got up early, I wasnt excited, that was for sure. My face looked like a door smacked me in the face, and it hurt too, I didnt understand how it could be a nasty color and still hurt. And oh! We cant forget about my lip. Its like in half.

I looked up pouting at Nina. I didnt want to go to school, but Nina said I should. 'Its OK, he was just shocked, it will be OK.' Was what he told me, rubbing my back. "Come on, lets get you to school," She smiled at me, before walking out of the room.

Today her hair trailed down her back instead of in the bun it was normally in, the blond waves swayed as she walked down the stairs, out the door, and to the car, it might be rude to say now, but, I never really noticed how beautiful she actually looked, the blond blended well with her light complection and it made me jealous. Why did I have to come out with Gray hair... Oh right, I was a Gray dog.

When Nina stopped in front of the school, we sat there in a weird silence, "So, have a good day, alright?" I nodded, "Go find Sencer." She padded my back, and I nodded. Hopefully he will still talk to me, I mean I have ditched him to go hang out with Adrian.

I smiled at her before I got out, and walked into the school, people smiled at me, and this time I smiled back, but kept low and walked to my locker, I didnt want to see Adrian--yet I did.

I quickly opened my locker and put in my books, "Hey..." A small voice came from behind me, I jumped slightly before turning around. Sencer!

"Hi!" I smiled, pulling him into a hug, I felt him stiffen, before hugging me back, "How are you?" I pulled back, "At home..." I said quietly, he shrugged, then his eyes widened as he say the side of my face, and my lip.

"W...What h... Huh.. Happened?" He stuttered, reaching a hand to my face, I flinched back, like I said, it still hurt.

"Um... Nothing," I said quickly turning around. Running my tongue lightly over it.

"Max... Its only fair, I told you... You tell me, we're friends." He held out his small pinky, and I smiled grabbing it, nodding.

"Um... Adrian, he... Uh..." I pointed my lip.

"What?" He shrieked, I twitched. "He? Your? How? Max you have to tell!" He rushed out.

"I did... I told him my biggest secret." A tear slid from my eyes, "And Im sorry I didnt tell you! Im such a terrible friend. Im sorry!" I cried.

"Uh... No! No! No!" He padded my back, hugging me from the side. "Lets go to the library, we'll talk about it... And... You can tell me... If you want!" He rushed the last part out, and I nodded. He smiled lightly, before helping me with my stuff, he picked the things off the floor, and I closed my locker, taking my books from him, he guided me to the library to the spot we first sat at when we met. I started to bite my lip, "What are you doing?" His eyes widened, and I couldnt help but smile.

"Dont leave me if I tell you." I said, looking him directly in the eyes, I felt like I was about to break, I couldnt do it. "I..." I licked my lips, the sting coming into the cut, "You know... How Adrian lost his dog?" I peaked up at him under my bangs, he nodded calmly. "Im... Im Max--the dog" I looked up at him completly.

His mouth was open, and I moved back, even though he probably wouldnt hurt me as much as Adrian, I still didnt want to get hit, it hurt.

"Oh... Well..." He mumbled, "Uh... How?" He asked, I peaked up at him, and he moved closer to me.

"Your not mad or scared of me?" My lip poked out, "You dont think Im a freak? A creep? A forty year old with ugly Gray hair?" I asked him.

His brows went together, "He said all that to you?" He sat on his knees in front of my face, and thats when I broke, it hurt to think of it. When he flicked me, when he hit me in the face, how all the blood came out, and Nina was struggling in between my cries and sobs. I nodded, and thats when I felt his hands wrap around me, its like he threw himself against me, "Your none of those things Max." He huffed out, "I swear on my life, Noahs and all the other kids in our school!" He shoved his head into my chest getting me out of the little ball. "I love you Max! And if I wasnt so small Id kid Adrian just as hard as he hit you! And Im sorry I cant do that!" I said quickly, I couldnt help but let out a small chuckle.
