"I lost trust in him. Out of all people, I would expect you to understand." She sat in her throne and merely smiled down as I knelt before her.
"I don't get it. He was so devoted to you. I would give anything to have that from him." My lips parted in slight anger from the oblivion that the savior held.
I stood up as the other believers gasped in slight shock from her defiance. I clutched my fist and began to climb the steps.
"I valued Saeran's life before you came along." Rika slithered her tongue across her teeth in a visible smirk as I bit my lip in anger.
"You speak of his real name as if you are worthy to be able to. You aren't even close to holy. This isn't a paradise. It's an insane asylum. You keep people here with an elixir and claim your purpose is to save them. I want you to cut all ties with Saeran and never to look for him or me again."
"I'm afraid I cannot do that. You both know too much-classified information and if I let you go, you'll run your mouths and get me arrested. I can't have that."
"Leave. Him. Alone."
She stood up and calmly walked past me before chuckling quietly. Her small giggle erupted into a hysterical laugh as I turned to face her.
"My dear [y/n]. You're only his assistant." She walked over to me and held my chin in her hands. "I know you love him but does he really feel the same? If he caught you with another woman or a man, would he act with anger and jealousy or disappointment?"
I widened my eyes as she stood behind me and ran her fingers down my arms. She kissed the crook of my neck and I only stood in shock as she smiled.
"Tell me. Did he say he hated me?"
"He ran away and left you here. Didn't he?"
I fell on the floor and clutched my skirt in my hands. I felt the tears roll down my cheeks as Rika slid down next to me and softly caressed me against her body.
"It hurts for him not to see the same way as you. It hurts for him to judge what you believe in and criticize it. Doesn't it? My dear [y/n]..." She whispered softly in my ear while stroking my thigh and I merely sat there.
"Saeran would never leave me alone with you," I mumbled and shoved Rika away. "He has no reason to. He promised to take me after he finished planning the getaway."
"But you're still here. I can use you as bait though. Can someone get me through to Saeran?" Rika asked and a man walked over holding a tablet in his hand.
She hit video call on the app and she smirked as the alarm switched into the answer call.
"S-saeran!"I attempted to stand up when I was shoved to the floor by Rika.
"Rika what is going on?" Saeran raised his voice and I looked up at her.
"Since I can't kill Saeran myself, I'll let you kill him [y/n]." She burst into laughter and stood over me with a knife in her hand. "I want to see him cry, I want to see him mourn, I want to see him die. And it is all thanks to you [y/n]." She laughed more before drilling the knife into my chest.
I remembered it all so clearly. It was the day I died. My curse was hearing Saeran's screams and pleads as Rika continued to stab at my chest. I heard his emotional breakdown and then felt the hug of his arms wrap around my waist.
"Please god no please I will do anything."
I now watch him from afar. It is a bittersweet experience as he locked himself in a spare room Saeyoung had at his home. The twins were reunited and that alone made me happy. I felt an empty sorrow crept up on me as Saeran ate his life away in the curtain drawn room.
I remember his pouting cheeks and annoyed expression whenever I annoyed him to do something that was ordered. I laughed whenever he began to compete against Saeyoung in hacking into the RFA messenger and whenever he was shot down, he threw his keyboard across the room. I didn't know why the memories began to flood me all of the sudden and I felt a slight tap on my shoulder.
"Hey."
I widened my eyes and threw the chair back as I ran into his embrace.
"Saeran what are you doing here? What happened?"
He smiled slightly and stroked my head gently before burying my head in his chest.
"Please understand Saeyoung." He mumbled and I widened my eyes.
He took his own life in order to see me again. He looked devastated when I looked up at him. He knew the hell that his brother was going to go through. Losing his twin to their mother, finding him again in a way that he didn't want to, and losing both his brother and best friend.
"Saeyoung..." I felt the tears sting my eyes when Saeran sat on the ground in despair and I hugged his head into my chest.
"We'll see him again. Don't worry my love."
I covered Saeran's ears and began to cry softly.
"Don't worry..."
