Chapter 5

I got up and put on black capris, a Batman tank-top and a Batman hoodie. I put my hair up in a messy-bun. We walked to school once everyone was ready. We walked to our lockers and got our stuff for Greek class which we were so excited for. I grabbed my binder with everything else in it and headed to class with the rest of the group. 

"Okay let's go, I'll show you guys the class" Percy said. 

"Well guys, it's show off time and I usually don't, actually I never have but since you guys are here lets all show off. The teacher is pretty harsh" Percy said. 

His mortal friends walked in and sat with us. 

"So Percy, beware for i to get really difficult since your already struggling. Were talking more in depth then just naming the 12 Olympians" Micheal said. 

We all chuckled. 

"Percy, having trouble with Greek class? I know you don't want to show off but seriously, you were risking your grades before we came?" Annabeth asked dead serious. 

He nodded hoping she wouldn't kill him but instead she nodded understandingly. The teacher walked in and Alex whispered "good luck" to us.

"Okay we have a new student, introduce yourself" the teacher said. 

"I'm Mallory Drover" Mallory said. 

We all just stared at her since she was supposed to be at Hogwarts. I'll ask her about that later. 

"Okay, we are going to be learning more about the Olympians but we will also be doing the Heroes of Olympus, what they did, other myths and some monsters. We will go more in depth about what the Olympians did, including Hades and Hestia, and what they rule over. I hope you don't have too much trouble with that Mr.Jackson" the teacher said glaring at Percy the entire time. 

She started lecturing us and we were just passing notes about how easy this is and get into something more interesting. The teacher saw Percy handing a note to somebody but dropping it. He tried to hurry over to pick it up but the teacher caught him. 

"Mr.Jackson, would you mind answering this question?" she asked annoyed. 

He read it and it said 'Name the Greek god of the skies. 

"Zeus ma'am" he said laughing a little.

"Since it's so funny, why don't you name five minor gods or goddesses" she said sternly. 

"Only five? Okay well then Iris, Hebe, Hypnos, Heracles and Nemesis" he said kinda bored. 

Jess laughed. 

"What is so funny Ms.Lowe?" she demanded. 

"Uh nothing?" Jess more so asked then said. 

"Oh well if it's so funny, name five different types of monsters?" she asked. 

"Um well there's gorgons who are Sythno, Beano and the most famous Medusa. The Minotaur, from the story about the Labyrinth that Daedalus built for it. There are dracaneas, which are like girl vampires that have snake legs and flaming hair. The are drakons, which are like dragons but much older. And spiders, those things are evil" Jess said. 

"Uh spiders aren't monsters, there arachnids" a snobby voice came from the back. 

"Actually according to the Greek myths, Arachnea was turned into the first spider because she was boasting about her weaving skills and even challenged the goddess of weaving herself, Athena. Athena was so mad that she turned Aracnea into the first spider so she could only weave forever. Therefore all her children, regular spiders, are in fact monsters" Jess said proudly. 

As she was giving details about spiders, me and Annabeth were shuddering since we were terrified of those evil. Nico was in his seat dying for laughter. He collapsed on the floor crying from laughing so hard. I know Thalia said something to him I would have to ask her about that later. 

"Mr. di Angelo, name a Greek god" the teacher said sternly. 

He recollected himself and calmed down them muttered something under his breath. 

"Speak up" she said. 

"Hades" he said. 

A snobby voice, the same one who tried to tell Jess off said "Well of course the goth boy knows that one." 

Nico jumped to his feet and slammed his hands of his desk. 

"First of all, I'm not goth or emo, I just like the color black. Second, I can name all the Greek gods but" thunder rumbled "And goddesses but that would take too long so I'll just name the Twelve Olympians and other gods and goddesses who hate to be called minor gods because they through hissy fits, yes I'm talking to you Nike" he said then proceeded to name the Olympians with a bunch of other gods and goddesses. 

"What is he going to do now, speak Ancient Greek" the same girl asked. 

He turned around and said "Õkata". 

"WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE!" Will yelled. 

"Your not the boss of me!" he retorted. 

They argued a bit more and everyone was pretty confused. 

"WILL YOU TWO STOP FIGHTING LIKE 2 YEAR OLDS!" Hazel and Annabeth yelled. 

They sat back down while continuously nodding. Everyone laughed, even the teacher. 

"Well, I never had to say this before, but by the looks of things I don't even have to teach your little group anything. Instead you will have a pop-quiz, everyone else will as well to test your knowledge. There are copies in Ancient Greek for those of you who want to challenge yourselves. Please your hand if you want one in Ancient Greek, you can either write the answers in Ancient Greek or English" the teacher said. 

Our group raised there hands. She wrote something down, probably the number of copies. 

"Now there is 5 minutes left of class, everyone get in groups and discuss things. If you can, try speaking in Ancient Greek or just normal Greek" she said. 

Our group got together and started speaking Greek, so nobody would understand us. 

"Mallory, why aren't you at Hogwarts" I asked. 

"There was a Griffin attack and it will take at least a year to fix even with magic" she replied. 

"Thalia, what did you say to Nico that made him laugh so hard" Mallory asked. 

"I told him that obviously Sarah was shaking when Jess mentioned the spiders being monsters because you are terrified of them. And I also said that 'How is a goddess afraid of spiders when most of them are like a centimeter big?" Thalia said. 

We all started to laugh. The bell rang and we went straight for our lockers. Micheal, Sophia and Alex followed us. 

"Percy, how did you know all that stuff, your grades are going to go through the the roof" Sophia said. 

The bell rang and we had English.
