The Seeds

They unintentionally planted seeds of anger in my heart

I didn't mind it

I just left it there to ignore

As time goes on

I didn't notice the seeds have grown

I still didn't mind the little sprout

Thinking, "it couldn't harm anyone anyway"

They continued planting every little seed within me

And they didn't even know they were doing it

One day, when I took a look at my heart,

I didn't see the sprout

Because it was a sprout no more

Instead I saw a tree, strong and steady

I realized the little seeds of anger turned into a tree of hatred

Every moment I face them

I'm hoping for them to trim it down

Or cut it

Or just take it off my heart

But they didn't

They didn't do anything

They just ignored it the way I did

Now the tree remains

So strong

It's roots holding still in my heart never wanting to let go

Every time I try to remove it

It hurts...so bad

I don't know if it's my fault or theirs

But it doesn't really matter now

Because the tree still remains

And them still ignoring it
