Chapter 9: Haruka Temple

"The Hakura Temple is up ahead." Nona said looking at her map. "A series of gates are locked to obviously keep intruders out, and they seemed to have enlist in a few monsters to guard those spots."

The team nodded readying their weapons. Nona began leading the team through the maze-like forest, fending off Agha, and other monsters. They walked through a door after finding the key, seeing before them a large fancy red temple. Cautiously they entered the room, buffs still placed on them. They honestly didn't need the buffs, but Amos was nearing the final levels with her healing and buffs TECHnique. Though a large number of people would better suffice the need for leveling up magic, they had everyone against them at the moment.

The door closed and locked behind them, just as an enemy fell from the sky. It was called Lutus Jigga. Nona ran forward, rolled to the side as it attacked first, then Hitoshi jumped up and performed Gravity Breaker. The thing spun, knocking the to forwards back, but was still receiving damage done by Ezra. Amos healed the two then switched to another staff. She cast Foie on it, helping out Nona and Hitoshi by a lot. In a matter of moments Lutus Jigga turned into data shards, and they all gained a level. They relished for a little before staring at the building.

"This must be the Haruka Temple."Nona said.

"I detect possible hostile individuals." Amos said. " Do we call the Acheron Valkyries?"

"Put them on stand by. We don't need a whole bunch of commotion, and we don't even know what's going on." Nona told her.

"Well, what do we do?" Ezra asked.

Nona thought for a moment. "I'll go in myself." Before anyone could protest she added if she didn't contact them in the next fifteen minutes, to call the Valkyries and raid the place. "And if I'm kidnapped, then don't look for me."

Hitoshi seemed a bit worried about this plan, but agreed. "Don't get into a fight you can't handle."

Nona nodded at his advice and ran inside the temple. Everyone awaited, knowing fifteen minutes was going to be a while. Inside, Nona buffed herself with her wand magic, and snuck around. A few men from the Xenia Knights carted around boxes. She sent her party a message, and dashed off behind them. The hallways were intricate, and long, cutting corners this way and that. Nona sighed.

'What's the purpose of this place? And what were in those boxes.'

"Excuse me, but are you lost?"

Nona jumped back slightly looking at the figure. He wore black pants, shoes, and a jacket, the hood covering the face so you can't see it. His weapons were twin katanas. The white katana went from white (bottom) to yellow (Middle) to blue (Tips of feathers) feathers are attached loosely to the hilt by white silk fabric the give off bends in the wind or movement making them look like angel wings. The black katana the entire sword is black from tip to bottom the strap the covers the hilt is made of small black chains one strand hangs loosely from it on the bottom there's a purple diamond shaped gem attached to the hilt.

Nona looked away. She knows she's seen him before but didn't have time to recall. He bent down low, and ran to the opposite, wall. Frowning she saw him look back before continuing. She quickly ran with him, following wherever he went. He eventually stopped holding up a sign with his hands. Drawing his katanas he ran into the room. Nona blinked, hearing startled yells and whipping of katanas. Things then got quiet and the guy emerged. Shocked, Nona covered her mouth.

"Did you just...?"

He said nothing. Nona growled tears in her eyes. "You idiot! We're trying to save everyone, even these jerks, from this game! You can't go around killing them, you murderous fre-"

A blade to her throat kept her from finishing her sentence. He pulled it back and walked into the room again. Nona touched her throat, shaken by his unruly action and willingness to kill actual people. She wiped her eyes and ran inside the room. It was an office, and the guy was looking through papers, tossing them aside if they didnt seem important. Nona looked at some of them, most of them turning out to be either blue prints, or strange marking. She saw one in particular, three small circles, colored green, orange, and blue, and lines connecting them, forming a triangle. She stashed it, and others like for later. She looked up to see the guy holding a book, reading intensely.

"From what I can tell, it looks like Hakura has secrets for getting us out of-"

"SEED invasion!"

The two inside heard things crashing inside the temple, the temperature dropping quickly. Nona equipt a jacket to cover herself, before runniing out and calling her teammates.

"Did you guys see that?"

"Ughn! Yea! And we have our hands full at the moment! We'll join you shortly!" she heard Ezra say, her guns and everyone elses fighting noises heard through the mic.

Nona shut hers down to kill some enemies. Bodies were lying on the floor before their health dropped to zero and shattered into oblivion. She hacked and slashed her way through. She had to get out, but something kind of stopped her on her map. She noticed a large room, a glowing yellow dot in there. It was a boss, but was it a player boss, or an NPC? She ran to check it out.

(A/N): Hello all. I had so much trouble writing this. Been downtrodden and sleepy, so the ideas would stop and go. Hope this didnt screw up the story, but eh.
