So, I recently figured out most of my Hartbig tales aren't very happy, so today, I'm just going to write a happy one, and see where it goes. Lord, help me

-------------------------

The pitt-patter of rain played a patter on Hannah's doorstep.

It was a pretty stormy day, but I was in the presence of the one that I love, so that's all that matters.

"Are you sure our reservation won't work out?" A frown forms on her face. "Well, goodbye."

"So much for date night," Hannah mutters as she joins me on the couch.

"It's okay, we'll go some other time." Hannah looks crestfallen about not going to this fancy restaurant; I feel bad.

"Babe, we can make something here, it would be fun."

She finally stops being depressing after thirty minutes, so she says, "I'll cook, since I'm afraid that you'll burn the house down."

She's mixing the spaghetti in the pot and she left me in charge of squishing some tomatoes, and throwing them into some spices to make it a sauce.

"So, is the s-" Hannah is interrupted by squished tomato flying onto her face.

She wipes it off her eyes and finishes her sentence, "-auce ready?"

I stay silent.

Usually when a Hannah is mad, you should make no sudden movements.

Crap, I breathed.

She grabs some tomato, and flings it onto my face.

"Oh, shit's about to get real, Hannah Maud Hart."

The constant throwing to the sauce at each other was fun. Hannah really has a good aim. I throw some sauce, and it lands in Hannah's eyes. She falls over, and I laugh until I have to say, "Hannah?"

I start to do mouth-to-mouth, and then Hannah's lips pull me in to a kiss.

"God, Hannah, you scared the shit out of me."

I give her a playful shove, and then announce I'm going to take a shower.

I put on the dress that I was going to wear to dinner.

Hannah already finished the spaghetti, and it looks better than anything I could buy at some snobby restaurant.

It finally stopped raining, so we put cushions on the outdoor chairs on the balcony.

"Wow," I breathe out. The rain cleared up the whole night sky. You could see all the stars, and the moon was as bright as ever.

When we finish eating, Hannah goes to change and I go to stand, and look over the balcony.

"The sky truly is beautiful, but nothing in comparison to you."

Hannah steps out in a beautiful dress. The dress brings out her blue eyes that I've always loved.

I blush, and she turns me to face her.

"Grace, at first in life, I thought the goal was to keep moving, and then I would be happy. I thought that just getting by was alright to do, and that it wasn't such a big thing. But then I met you,"

I smile. She's the most beautiful girl on Earth. Inside and out,

"and all of that changed."

"You are my better half, the thing that keeps me going. I'm not just getting by, I'm always happy with you. You are my sunshine to the storm that is my life. I can't live without you, Grace."

I blush.

"I promise I'll always love you, never leave you, and treat you the best way in my power. We already are meant to be together, so why not say forever? What I'm trying to say is,"

and then Hannah lays a towel down at her feet, and then she kneels on one knee.

"Oh my god."

"Grace Anne Helbig, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I promise that every day, I'll be true to you. So, Grace Anne Helbig, will you marry me?"

"Yes!" I yell. I pull Hannah into a long kiss.

That's why she was angry before. She had it all planned out

So, maybe it just was a rainy Sunday.

But it didn't matter.

Hannah was mine, and I was hers.

Forever.

----------------------------------------

Well, I hope you liked that. I wrote it this morning.

By the way, it was around 11 am when they started cooking, and it took them until later that night to make the spaghetti.

Well, I hope it didn't suck.

Love you! Byeeeeeee!
