To many kids are in the halls. They are scattered through out and practically screaming their heads off. I look at Maggie and see her get shoved into a locker as the boys and girls around me start running. Mag's head is bleeding and her body is falling to the ground. When I try to run to her I don't move- wait. I am moving just slowly. Like somebody has forced me into a slow motion scene within a movie. Everyone around me is pushing and shoving, but I'm just standing there. Why is everyone running and screaming? Is there a fire? Is someone in the school?
Then Someone bumps into me and I am on the floor. The florescent light above me buzzes as it struggles to stay on. I am getting up again when I stop hearing everyone's screams. I look down the hallway. Two people are there. Someone I know and somebody I don't.
The first is a man standing in dead center in the hallway. He has a mask on that looks like a rabbit's face. The eyes are red just like a rabbit I had a few years back. He has hair in his hand. He is holding onto Maggie's brown hair and she is not standing, but she is awake. I can see her eyes are open wide, and she is saying things. I can not here them though. The man looks down at her and takes something out of his pocket. A knife. The handle is white and the blade is black. A strange knife.
I am captivated by the knife until he brings it to Maggie's neck. He drags it across, and as he does this I run toward them, but then i am tripping and falling forward. I close my eyes and-
The first thing I see are my pictures I have on the ceiling above my bed. Was it a dream? Must have been. I roll over and groan because my neck and back feel sore. Ever since I got my mom's old mattress I've been waking up with back and neck pain. After feeling around my bed for my phone for a bit I find it and check the time. 6:46. Fuck. Quickly, I get out of bed and rush downstairs to the house's one and only bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. My mom sees me come down the stairs from her spot on our purple couch and greets me, "Good morning Colette. How'd you sleep?"
"Good, but I slept through my alarms again." I say and then mutter "I was supposed to shower today." Walking through the kitchen and into the bathroom, I rub my eyes to get the morning crusties, one of the amazing things that come with wearing contacts, out. I look at myself in the mirror. I have a pimple under my lips, but it is getting smaller now that I've begun to wash my face every morning and night again. I take my brightening scrub and rub it into my face quickly. Im almost one hundred percent sure that this stuff doesn't do any brightening, just exfoliating, but a beauty guru on Youtube recommended it, so I use it every other day. Then I quickly wash my face and spray toner, which I also don't think does anything, all over my face. After brushing my teeth I speed walk out of the bathroom and up stairs to my room to do my makeup.
If school is 10 minutes away, we need to leave by seven forty-five so I have five minutes before class to talk to my friends. I do the whole shebang, foundation, eyeshadow, false lashes, etc. When I'm finished with my face I look at myself to inspect my hair, which actually looks good for once when I haven't done anything to it.
I eat breakfast quickly and my mom and I rush out the door at exactly seven forty-five.
Thanks for Reading!! I know this chapter is a lotta bit terrible, but bare with me until the next one because fun stuff should be happening with in the next two ;)
