AN: Almost Everything will be said in French, but if it's in English I'll write in italics, so don't be confused!
History. I like history, which is good because right now I'm sitting in a classroom learning about Luis XIV. or you could say, King of the sun. I like France, mostly because I can speak French, which for a twelve-year-old is quite impressive (at least so they say). I look next to me at my best friend, who does not like history as much as I do, well actually she hates history, but she is much better in English than me, because I get really often messed up in the Spanish and French so I never really excelled at English.
I take notes on how Louis loved ballet and regularly danced ballet in court, when two men barge in the room. They look like they were straight from a spy movie. I really like spy movies, but I can't decide if I like Get Smart or Johnny English the best. They have walkie-talkies and guns under their belt which is, really cool. They whisper something urgently to our professor, he nods, slightly frowning and giving me a glance, before turning back to the men. They look at all of us and ask us "Can someone here speak French?". I don't know what to do because I can't stop thinking that they maybe are really spies that want me to eh... do something they can't do, that requires speaking French. They look at everybody, and I slowly raise my hand and say "I can.". Sometimes I can't believe how stupid I am.
They look at me and smile, "Then come with us, don't worry, your parents are going to be told.". I look at Rachel and slowly stand up, take my bag and my stuff and ask the professor if I should leave. "Go on, don't worry, I'm going to write a message to your mom." I look at my best friend and smile sheepishly at her. The guys shoo me out of the room and then we walk out of the hall and I ask, "Where are you taking me?","We will tell you in the car.". Outside of school, there are two other people waiting for us, each with two of 'the men'. We (me and the men) get in a car, well a limo and the smaller starts driving.
"So where are you taking me?" the men look at each other and the taller one that's not driving starts talking. "We're taking you to France where a program," he looks at the smaller guy at the word program. "will be taking place and there were three people for the program missing, so they sent us here to pick three kids up." "And who are you exactly?" "SCRT: Central Service of Territorial Surveillance. It's like a french CIA." "Oh.". I process everything, one thing still pecking my mind. "What is this program? It's only for kids?" "Well the kids are a big part of it but it benefits the whole country, and we can't really say what exactly is the program. Soon you'll know."
One hour after I ask them "Are we going by plane?" "Of course we are. We have a private jet waiting for us. We're there in two minutes." "So what should I call you?" I look at the scenery, thinking how long will this program be. I have a biology test after tomorrow, I'll ask them on the jet. "I'm Daniel and the tall guy is George." I raise my eyebrow, "Are those your real names?" they laugh, "Kid, you watch too much spy movies.".
On the private jet we take off, and I ask Daniel "So how long will this program take?" Daniel frowns, then looks at George, who shakes his head. "We can't tell you, I'm sorry." I frown, taken aback on his words. Trying to enlighten the mood I ask if anyone has a charger, and George passes me one. First of all, I start charging my phone and then take a couple selfies putting it on my story, and then I plug in my headphones, putting on my favorite song, Lunchmoney's Whip it! and slowly drifting to sleep.
I wake up to Daniel shaking me, and I am blinded by the sudden light. I never forget what happens before I go to sleep, no matter how strange it is. Once, I was going to read a book, and I sat on my queen size bed, and then I woke up, and I was really confused, because I was in my clothes, and it looked like morning, but then mom asked me if I want to eat sweet potatoes, and I thought that maybe it was leftovers from dinner, so I said sure, and then I realized that I fell asleep before even starting to read the book.
