It all seemed so sudden, like the whole world sped up suddenly, making me dizzy. This darkness around me was like I was blind; no matter where I turned to look, there was nothing. No light. No movement. I felt the supply of air shrink as I looked around the darkness, me whimpering against the cloth over my mouth. “Help…” I whimpered on the fabric, feeling a throbbing feeling on my head. I struggled against the coarse rope binding my wrists, making burns on my skin. I was stolen, kept in the trunk of a dark car, never stopping…
*One hour before*
“Get home safe, you hear?” said the woman behind the grocery checkout, giving a kind smile to me. I nodded, holding my bag in my hand as I walked out to the sidewalk. I saw my breath in the cold air as I walked towards my car, looking around to see no one around me; only the silence and darkness of the night. For a reason unknown to me… I had a feeling, a shiver if you will... like I wasn’t alone. I kept silently walking, hearing a car driving. The sound kind of relieved me, knowing that I wasn’t the only one on this street. I sighed a little, walking to my car. I took out my keys, unlocking it to get inside, but as I opened my car door, I heard footsteps… fast ones.
I gasped as I felt a hand clasp over my mouth, feeling a strong arm wrap around my form. My bag dropped onto the concrete and all I could see was a dark figure holding me in the reflection of my car window. I whimpered against the palm of my attacker, hearing no voice to even threaten me. My eyes scattered around, trying to find a kind soul to take pity and help me... only to have no luck.
I felt the strong arm hold me close against a just as strong body, keeping my air supply minimal. I whimpered and tried to fight against the force on me, but it seemed pointless. I felt the force drag me against my heels, taking me backwards. I looked around me, frantic and panicked as I felt a dark cloth suddenly come over my mouth. It wasn't as strong as the hand, but silenced me just as well. I couldn't run, feeling hands on me before a coarse rope tied my wrists behind my back, keeping me bonded. I felt the strong arm wrap along my ribcage, lifting my feet off the ground.
Before I knew it, I was on my back, looking up at a person; a black hood over their head, a cloth covering everything but their dark eyes, staring at me with no speck of pity. I whimpered yet again against the cloth, making the person slam the door closed, leaving me in the trunk; scared, alone and trembling.
*Now*
I felt the car slam on its breaks, making me roll violently to the back of the trunk, slamming my head against the barrier, making me cry out in the sting on my forehead. I shut my eyes tightly, whimpering against the cloth on my mouth. The throbbing on my head was a distraction from my fear, but it didn’t help long enough. I bunched my hands into fists as I gathered strength in my legs to roll back over where I was before; making me lay on my back.
The car door slammed closed, with everything seeming so still… I knew he was coming. I felt my body shake with a sense of terror as I heard heavy footsteps come closer to the trunk, making me look up. I jumped slightly as I saw the dark, covered form again, staring down at me with an evil glare. I tried to speak but the cloth muffled my words, making them pointless. I whimpered as the person grabbed my shoulders, pulling me out of the trunk. My legs started flailing in every direction, hoping I could possibly kick him hard enough so I could run… but it was like what I did was predicted.
The person kneeled over a bit, throwing me over their shoulder; my face against the person’s back. Strong hands gripped the back of my thighs as I was carried, with my eyes looking at the black hoodie on the strong form. I moved with their steps, feeling my body bounce. I tried to inhale as much fresh air as I could, but I wouldn't get much of it from now on.
I watched the floor, from outdoors, then indoors. Hardwood floor… tile… more wood… they kept taking more steps, with me crying quietly against the cloth over my lips. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I finally felt the steps stop, then the person forced me onto my feet, in front of an open door. They then spun me around, walking me towards a small bed. Dark grey sheets covered the firm twin-sized mattress and single pillow resting at the top of the bed. I was then forced to sit on it, as I felt hands untie the cloth from my mouth.
I gasped for air, lightly panting as I watched the form untying my wrists.
"Why are you doing this to me?"
I whimpered out, more tears streaming down my cheeks. I watched the form stand, looking down at me. I watched the strong hand grab my chin, tilting my head up. They turned my head left, then right, inspecting my frightened face. I lightly whimpered, feeling their grip on my jaw.
"You're beautiful."
I heard a low voice, making my tears stop. I looked up at the man, feeling his grip on me. I lightly shook as I felt his hand come off of my chin, taking a step back from me. I looked him up and down in the fluorescent light, his black clothes covering his form. I sat completely still, holding my arms close.
"Why me?" I whispered.
He kept a silence as he took quiet steps from my new bed to the slim grey door, making his way to the archway. He slowly turned and looked at me, his hand on the door handle. He slowly closed the door, leaving a big enough space to see his hidden face.
"Sleep tight." He said montone.
I closed my eyes, feeling tears fall. I heard the door close as I sat. I then quickly fell back on the bed, my head slamming against the pillow. My tears sunk into the fabric as I closed my eyes, trying not to shake as I heard the door lock, trapping me into my own version of hell.
