April 11th 2011He waited nervously in the truck. His eyes glancing at the watch for the 100th time. The cold night air blew softly, allowing shivers to creep up his spine. Unable to handle it, he reached to the desk box and took a roll of cigarette and a lighter.
His fingers strummed on the steering as his mouth blew out smoke.
“They're late.”
Chanyeol is on work tonight. His temporary ‘work mates’ are supposed to arrive with their ‘goods’ about an hour ago. If he's following the code of conduct, he should be turning the wheels and get the hell out of there and yet, he's still there in wait.
But this is a 10 million dollar job and Chanyeol can't afford to go back empty handed. He's not that kind of person. He created a name for himself and he won't put a single dirt on it.
All different thoughts were running through his mind. Should he go and check? But then no one will lay in wait. Should he just turn and leave?
Chanyeol groaned. He was about to get out of the truck when he heard the police sirens. Fuck. He started the engine. His hands hurriedly turn the wheels around. But just right then, he saw his work mates running with their goods in a black bag.
Chanyeol stepped up on the brakes, allowing his work mates to get in before speeding out of the scene into thin air.

“A group of robbers managed to get away from the cops in a split second after stealing 10 million worth of jewellery.” Mrs. Lee read the newspaper as she sat down on the kitchen chair. “Cops nowadays are dumb. Letting those robbers steal shit at night. There wasn't even any gunshots.”
“Well it's not always the police's fault. From what I heard, one of the robbers is the Phantom Thief. That's why it didn't take them long to disappear from the scene.” Mr. Lee who just came back from the police station told his wife.
“Plus they left no evidence. It was as if that night was just a dream.”
Mrs. Lee raised her brows. “10 million dollars worth of jewellery gone is a dream?”
“It's just a saying alright.” Mr. Lee answered. He looked around the living room before furrowing his brows. “Where the hell is that kid anyways?”
“He’s upstairs, wasted the last time I check up on him.”
Mr. Lee sighed. “It's a school day. He can't be wasted.” He slowly made his way up to the stairs.
Baekhyun could hear footsteps nearing his door. He groaned before turning over and bracing himself for a yelling.
“Baekhyun! You're already late for school! Get up now.”
Baekhyun didn't get up. He didn't even flip himself over. He simply replied with a “Go away.”
“Don't tell me to go away. Get up. You're late.” Mr. Lee nagged. He pulled the blankets off of Baekhyun and flipped the boy over. “What the hell? What happened to your face?!”
Baekhyun slapped Mr. Lee's hands away from his face. “It's nothing. I fell that's all.”
“Who is it? Who's the kid that did this to you?”
Baekhyun finally got up and pushed Mr. Lee out of his room. “No one! Now get out and leave me alone.”
He slammed the door shut before locking it.
