Chapter 2

Lee Chaeyeon's POV:

I laid down in bed. Where should I travel? "August 25, 2001. Busan, South Korea" I said as I fell asleep before finishing it. Where do I wake up? On a bench in Busan, South Korea, on August 27, 2001. "Damn it! I should had designated a place to wake up in so I wouldn't end up on a bench!" I said pissed. I looked around. The bench where I woke up from was in a park and there was a kindergarten nearby. I love little kids so I decided to check out the place. When I got near though, I saw a kindergartener crying. "Ignore him. Ignore him" I said to myself. What would happen if I talked to him and interfered with the passage of time? Still I looked at him again. "The kid's like five. He wouldn't even remember" I said to myself and approached him. "Are you ok?" I asked him. The kid, back away from me. Seriously, this kid thinks I'm going to kidnap him. "Look" I said as I pulled out all of my pockets, "I don't have knifes, rope, duct tape or anything to kidnap you with unless you think I can kidnap you with my diary. I'm just trying to help you" I said. "Noona! My brother. I think something happened to him" he said crying now. "What did you say?" I replied. Never in my life I had someone called me Noona since I lived in a household with two older brothers. "My brother! He's not here!". "Your teacher. Where is she?" I asked. "She went off with a man" he said. Gosh, this teacher. Going off with a boyfriend and leaving this kid here. Should she even call herself a teacher? "Then, do you have anything that can be in use. A phone number, phone" I asked. "My mom attached something to my bookbag in case something happens so maybe you can use it. I searched his bookbag and found a bag hanging on it. "It's a phone number" I said out of joy. "Stay here and I'll call you mother ok" I said. He nodded as I went to the nearest payphone to call. My current phone can't call since it belongs to the future. "Hello" I asked the person on the other line of the phone. "Um, your son is crying outside his kindergarten right now. Apparently his brother was supposed to pick him up but he's not here yet" I said. "Oh my gosh (silence) Sorry, I went to find his brother only to find him still sleeping in his room. He is supposed to go to school today but something happened and they all got sent home early. For a second, I thought that he would finish school and go pick up his brother. I'll sent him. He'll come in a few minutes" his mom said and hung up. "Well, that's that" I said and went to check on the boy. "Your brother is coming" I reassured the boy. "Thank you Noona" he smiled. After a few minutes, I saw a older boy walk towards us. "Hyung!" the boy shouted and went up to the boy. Guess my job here is finished I said and walked away. "Don't go Noona" the older boy said. "My mom wants to thank you".
