"if you had to choose, would you pick me or the world?"

to tell you the truth, I really don't know

if i said "you", you'd call me a fool

"there's billions of other people in the world you could love,

surely someone out there will love you more than me!"

but on the inside, you'll be pleased at my response

even though you know that i hardly mean it at all

if i said "the world" you'd nod in approval

although slightly let down, you'll praise my common sense

bravo, bravo!

i'm not a total idiot!

...but just the world? 

without you, that'll never be enough.
