POV Chris
"Yahoo! Shoot day today for my new blog post! Go pro. Check. DSLR. Check. Monopod and tripod. Check. Ooopps of course basic needs phone, power bank, wallet, and clothes for 2 days. CHECK!" I jump off my car and drive. Beat of roaring stereo bursting on my car. "Okay I'm on my way to Tagaytay!" I can't hide my excitement since my food blog is fast growing. Many followers are asking about my recipes and they've been waiting this another episode of my "Wander Foods" vlog for a month. I'm very excited for my trip there since I'll be featuring many restaurants and delicacies all over "The Country's Second Summer Capital". My main itinerary is at the famous fine dining restaurant in Atonio's.
Beep-beep-beep
"Ugh weekend traffic. Really?! Waze is not even reliable at this moment." Yup Tagaytay is also famous for its traffic since many tourists found this place for weekend getaway, relaxation away from the bustling city, and of course sipping a hot chocolate drink at your hotel room seeing how the sun light bares the beauty of Taal Volcano.
"I'm here at Atonio's with the famous Chef and owner, Chef Tony Boy Escalante. So, Chef, what is the specialty of your restaurant?"
"Here is our House Salad, for main dish Foie Gras and Rib eye steak. Our famous pasta, Crab Ravioli, for your sweet tooth we have lime panna cotta, and of course our thirst-quenching beverage is Dalandan juice."
"Truly this restaurant is one of a kind. The foods have authentic taste with a twist of different flavors and spices on it. I absolutely like the refreshing natural Dalandan juice. Service and preparation wise with a cozy romantic ambiance. No wonder this is one of the top restaurants in the Philippines! Okay that's all for today guys, it's getting colder here... like her feelings to me when we last see each other again...nyeam! Hang on there I'll still be reviewing a lot of gastronomy here in the wonderful city of Tagaytay. Bye for now!
"And... that's a wrap!" I shut-down my camera, sit in the balcony, looking at the stars, and the wonderful city lights below. Thinking 'bout what tomorrow brings.
"Hey Amanda! Call him now! We'll be rolling at 15 minutes!" An angry blondie girl who's wearing a tight skinny jeans and a hoodie jacket breaks down the silence of the whole restaurant.
"Direk, Chef John is on the phone a while ago, he said he cannot make it due to the heavy traffic in Manila." A petite girl said, to her so called "Director". She looks so familiar to me.
"Damn it! How unprofessional he is! Is he doesn't know that the set-up is ready we have been waiting for an hour, how can we make it through this episode?!"
"I think I have a solution to that" Amanda replied.
****
Glurp – glurp -glurp, squeak of boiling water informing us that the pasta is ready. The sauce is getting thick, add some herbs and spices.
"The Crab Ravioli is done! You can garnish it with chopped parsley." I said while smiling in front of the camera.
"Cut!
flashback
As I overheard a while ago the screaming voice inside the restaurant. I rapidly look-out to see what's happening. I saw a very familiar face from a distance, then a petite girl approached me.
"Hey Chris, is that you?! Thank God! Please save my job." Amanda said.
"Alright, what can I do for you?" I replied.
And that's how I end up being their guest Celebrity Chef for the episode of "Dine n' Indulge". Which is so happen the director is the girl I had troubled two weeks ago.
"Thanks Chef for saving me from the edge of losing my job."
"Always mands" I replied with a wink.
I approached the Director to ask for apology.
"Direk Ivy can you drink hot choco with me?"
"Well I have a busy schedule ahead." Direk replied.
"I save your show today so I have the right to insist."
