Chapter 6: The Change

Cecelia POV

It's been 2 weeks since Damon's and my 'death' and tomorrow we decided to be changed into Vampires. Today was spent hanging out with the family and Carlisle taking off my cast. Even though my arm is still broken I just didn't want to have it on when I'm changing into a vampire. Carlisle gave me a brace for my arm. I still feel like this is all a dream I get to be with Damon forever. Damon and I had this whole day planned we were going on a hike then we are going to camp outside and tomorrow we will have one last meal before we are turned.

The hike was beautiful. We came to this little meadow and we decided to set camp up there. It was really funny because Damon didn't know how to set up a tent. So I had to do it while he gathered firewood for tonight. We planned on roasting marshmallows and cuddling up by the fire for warmth. I fell asleep in his arms by the fire. I guess he must've put me inside the tent because I woke up warm and still in his arms, surrounded brown material. The sun was just beginning to rise when he woke up and we decided to head back to the house. Alice would come by and clean up the campsite.

As we entered the house Esme came rushing to us and asked what we wanted for our last meal.

"How about French Toast with a side of sausage?" Damon asked me and I just nodded yes. Wow he knew me pretty well that's exactly what I wanted it was as if he read my mind. Esme fixed our meal and we ate it slowly savoring every bite. When we finished our meal Alice escorted us up the stairs to Carlisle's office which has two beds in it. Now I was nervous I can't believe this is going to happen. Damon squeezed my hand and gave me a quick kiss then went to lay down on the bed next to the window.  I walked to mine and laid down and grabbed Damon's hand.

"I love you forever, Damon." I said to him.

"I love you too." he said to me. Carlisle came over to me with a needle. "Carlisle can I go first?" Damon asked. Carlisle went to Damon and Damon kissed my hand.

"Cece look over here at me." Alice said.

"Can you stay in here while Carlisle does it to me?" I asked her. She nodded and I heard Damon shutter and then he fell into a deep sleep. Damon still had a hold of my hand when Carlisle came over to me and I gave a quiet goodbye to my human life.

Then I felt pain and fire when Carlisle bit me. Then a little bit of relief. I wanted to scream and cry my eyes out. It felt as I was on fire. Time went by so slow like seconds felt like hours, minutes felt like days, and days felt like years. I also felt my body change like my hearing I can hear music in a car five miles away.

 After what felt like years my heart stopped and I woke up to the new life of being a vampire witch. I woke up before Damon I didn't even feel thirsty. I just wanted to wait for Damon wake up. The minute I woke up Alice came prancing in with a mirror. I looked completely different my long dark brown hair looked shinier and I was very pale and had piercing red eyes.

"Welcome to your new life Cece!" Alice said.

"Thank you Alice." I said my voice sounded so different.

"You must be hungry Cece." she said to me.

"I'm ok I want to wait for Damon to wake up." I told her.

"He's going to be asleep for awhile longer and you need to be strong for him." she begged me and I listened and we went on a short hunt and we came back. He was still asleep my bed was gone so I decided to crawl up on his bed and lay on his chest I could still hear his heart but it is very faint. I just wish he would wake up soon I miss his smile and how he treated me like a princess. Finally his heart stopped and he hugged me to his chest. He's awake and we can be together forever. He opened his eyes and looked around the room and met me in the eyes.

"Hi Damon." I said to him.

"Hey Love." he stopped he sounded different.

"Come with me. You need to hunt Damon." I said to him.
