Just between us...

Chapter Two

A/N: Hey guys! Sorry it took long for me to upload, i wanted I see how th Erie St chapter went before I published another... so yea I hope you enjoy :)

"Erica!"

Someone called out and I turned to see who it was... It was Mr Drew...
"Hey what's up Justin!"

"Umm I just wanted to give you back your notes... thanks, they are actually really good.."
" wow.. thanks I mean for my first proper class... i did alright. But now I'm dying..." I responded. He replied while a soft chuckle.
"Cmon E let's got to out next class..." Ivy pushed.
"Hey Justin, what class do you have next?" I said ignoring Ivy.
" AP History.. Room 48" he said while looking at his time sheet.
" same, just come with us so you won't get lost again.."
"Uh thanks Erica" We all started walking to class, when Ivy suddenly coughed.
"Oh um Mr Drew.. this is my best friend, Miss Ivy Thomas" I gestured towards her.
"Hey, I'm Ivy.. so your new?" She started talking trying to make conversation.
"Yea, I just officially moved here yesterday.."
"So that's why I haven't seen you around..." I interrupted
"I guess..." Justin said.

Then we got to class and Justin sat next to me, and so did Ivy. Danny was here too! Yay! He sat in front of me. This class was going to be a good class. Except for the fact the teacher absolutely hates me. It was Mrs Zachery. As my attendance was absolutely 'atrocious' as my career was 'blowing up' and I had better things to do than school; her hatred grew a little bit more everyday.
"Miss Ellis, nice to finally see you, and I hope it stays that way" she suddenly announced.
"Yes ma'am, I hope so too.." I answered and she smiled, maybe she didn't hate me.

She began the class and I actually enjoyed this too. I could see Ivy  smirking from the corner of my eye, then I made sure to not look as interested as I knew she was going to mock me for it for the rest of my life... I took down notes and actually concentrated really hard.

"Miss Ellis, now tell me why do you think racial discrimination was more harsh in the southern states than the northern states?"

"Well ma'am, I think it was due to the slavery, the south took black slaves very seriously and I guess they still saw them like slaves after slavery was abolished, also during the slavery period, many slaves did try to escape to the north to be free from slavery, and that's why they were less harsh than the south' moreover, I guess in the south they took tradition very seriously and even now tradition and old habits are very hard to break" I answered (I only know this because I just did my history hw but I still have no idea wtf it's on about)

She stood there in shock. Everyone was except for Ivy, she always knew I was quite smart. Miss finally spoke up, "well miss Ellis, thank you for that, and it seems that it isn't that hard to break old habits or traditions,"
"Thank you ma'am," I smiled and carried on listening to the class.

The class the soon finished, faster than I thought, and I walked out of class with Danny, Ivy and Justin. It was finally break! I was so happy and so hungry... but I'm hungry all the time so no change there. I introduced Danny to Justin and they bonded very well, and as we were queuing up for food, the devil walked walked right in front of me and smiled at Justin.

"hey I'm Amanda," she opened her mouth, batted her eyelashes and flipped her hair. Classic Amanda."you must be new, as I haven't seen such a pretty face as yours.." I rolled my eyes and started to throw up due to the cringiness of her 'soft and gentle' voice.
" Hi I'm Justin, nice to meet you,"he managed to say back despite the laughter that was waiting to erupt from within him.
"Can I ask you a question? Justin.." Amanda softly said again and twirled her hair around her finger.
"sure!"
"why are you hanging around with these stupid idiots, instead of someone like me,"
He paused for a second to take everything in and I was so ready to punch her in the face.
Then he responded with the best thing I've ever heard.
"because they aren't such a stuck up, conceited bitch like you.."
I burst out laughing and so did the others, Amanda's face full of shock and gradually turned the bright pink the matched her dress yet again. She turn around and didn't say a say to us at all. It was so hilarious, I was still crying on the floor. Finally we got food and ate, it was so good. (now I'm actually hungry aha) then we sat on one of the lunch tables and decided to learn more about Justin.
"So Justin... why did you move here?" I began.
"Well, my parents had to move for their jobs as they are partnering with this big company, so I guess that's pretty cool..."
"Yea definitely..." I responded, taking another bite of my cheese panini
"How you finding it here?" Danny asked,
"I mean, I have only been here a day, but it's been pretty good!" He said optimistically
The conversation dragged on and as it began to escalate, my interest in him did to.
"So are u single Justin?.." Danny asked. I gave him a massive look and he just laughed, "what?I'm just wondering... I mean I'm straight Justin, I'm just curious aha"
"Nah it's cool mate. Yes I'm single... " Ivy gave me that look and I tried not to read it and just ignore it. As if I looked at her for too long she would know I had a thing for him...

Just before the awkward silence grew, the bell rang. Third class. And it's math. Great.

Unfortunately, Justin doesn't have the same class as Ivy and I, as he had English. Ivy and I arrived at class and I was dreading it with a passion. ( who hates math too, I mean I don't mind it, it's just long...) No! It's Mr Halt. He really doesn't likes me, and he does seating plans! I know for a fact he's not going to sit me next to Ivy, just to torchere me even more.

I went in with a smile on my face, hoping my charm will soften the blow. However, he just glared back, oh well I tried... Still keeping my fingers crossed, being optimistic for once the Mr Halt wouldn't be so mean and wouldn't sit me next to and absolutely dreadful person...
Then my hope instantly vanished as he called my name and presented my seat to me.

You've got to be fucking with me.
