Chapter 48

"Now I'm fallin' heavily, recklessly
Trying not to lose my sensibility

"Alaina" Drake my producer called out over the intercom from the other room

I look up from the mic at the glass window separating us from each other to see him giving me a thumbs up

*a few hours later*

"Ill see you soon Alaina,good job today" Drake waved

"Bye thank you again" I smiled walking out the door

I walked across the hall to the elevator, I pressed the down button and it instantly opened, I stepped in pulling my phone out of my bag as the doors closed

'2 Text from Chandler,and 1 text from Daddy Lawley'

I opened the text from Chandler and they read: "Group is going out all together Victoria's idea of "date night" 😒 then us girls are going out to a club in celebration of you recording your first songgg"

The second read :"oh and she invited her brother and his girlfriend so we can all finally meet her"

I text her back saying okay and then i opened Kians text

This is a long ass elevator ride...damn

"How did it go??" His text read

As I'm texting back the doors opened and I walk off with my eyes still glued to my phone

I soon bumped into someone and my hair falls over my face

"Woah,I'm sorry, my fault" I giggled moving my hair to the side of my face to see Matt already looking at me causing my smile to wipe off my face

"No..it was my fault" he said back

"Okay" I said beginning to walk away

"Lainey I'm so-" Matt said grabbing my arm

"..Dont call me that." I cut him off pulling my arm back before turning back around and walking away

*Later that night*

"We're here" Chandler said parking as the boys parked next to us

Me,Chander,Victoria, Regi,and Paden all drove to the restaurant together in one car and the boys all drove in the other

We all piled out of the car and so did the boys

I walked over to Kian who was getting out of the passengers seat

"I'm starving" He said as he closed the car door

"Same" I sighed before he pulled me into a hug

We stood there a few seconds until everyone got out of the cars

"Let's go gang" Jc saying holding Chandlers hand and walking in front

I pulled away from kian and looked up at him

"Race ya" I yelled before booking it toward the entrance

"CHEATER" He yelled chasing  after me

"Am not" I laughed panting as I made it to the doors

"Not fair" Kian pouted as he reached the door holding it open for me

"Gotta be quicker" I laughed kissing his cheek as I went through the door

We all sat at a table with 10 seats, From left to right I'm seated on the end,then down the row its chandler,Victoria,regi,then Paden,then across from me is Kian,and down the row is Jc,Harrison, Bobby,and Corey.

As we were in a small conversation about something,Kian looked at me and moved his eyes toward the door and back to me at least 3 times

"Dude" I mumbled to myself as I saw Matt and Meredith walk through the doors,she spots us and walks over with the biggest fake smile plastered on her face as she held Matt's hand

"Hey Matty boy" Chandler said waving

"Hey sis" Matt smiled "hey guys" he said to everyone

"Hey" everyone said in shock

I looked over at Meredith who was looking at Kian who was looking at me to see my next move

"Excuse me,I'll be back" I gave a small smile and scooted my chair out standing up

Meredith stood in front of me eyes glued to Kian,I turned looking at him with the "can this bitch move" face and he laughed to himself like he understood,I turned back to her..

"EXCUSE ME" I said louder knocking her back into reality

She moved out of my way and I rushed to the bathroom

*Victoria's p.o.v*

I nudge Chandlers arm and stand up after Alaina leaves to the bathroom

Chandler and I pull Matt and Meredith away from the table

"Who invited you..who told you we were here?"Chandler asked Matt

"Meredith said it was a get together for dinner with friends" he shrugged

I looked over to Meredith

"Why are you here?" I spat.

"My friend invited me" she rolled her eyes

"Who's your friend?" Chandler and I both asked

"Right there" Meredith pointed behind us

We both turned around and saw...
