Bentley was driving my car to the mystery location. I honestly had no say in it seeing as he stole my keys out my back pocket and hijacked my car.
" What you thinking gorgeous?" Bentley asked while placing his hand on my thigh. Like I said eariler I promise you we are just friends. He just calls me that to boost my confidence.
" Just wondering why I'm letting a complete nut job drive my baby to a secret location you won't tell me about."
" Just trust me ok? When have I ever got us into any harm or trouble?"
" Are you sure you want me to answer that one?"
" Yeah maybe you shouldn't answer that." He took his hand back off my leg and took the next left into a forest. I knew where we were going know.
" Why are you taking me to Lincoln Lake? The last we were here we were 8 and with your dad and both sets of twins." That was alomst 10 years ago and he's only just thought about bringing me back here.
"I miss our little adventures driving into the middle of no where to make new memories. I also this its perfect weather for a water fight" he looked at me and winked.
"A water fight?"
"Yeah lets have a water fight, me and you, like we used to in the good old days."
"Ok the why not." I think I had a change of clothes in the boot and Bentley has his basketball kit so we would have dry clothes for aftwards.
"But first lets take a rowing boat on the lake." why is he being so soppy?
" Is this the note book or something where noah rows the boat and is all romantic to ali?"
" No it's just making memories with a best friends, have you got a problem with that stewart?" his tone was now sarcastic.
" No I'm fine with that Mitchell just make sure you don't get up to any funny business while you have me in that boat. and by funny business I mean tipping the boat."
" I'm not gonna make any promises sweetheart." he winked and with that he threw his arm over my shoulder and we made our way towards the rowing boat kiosk.
It took about 10 minutes to sort out everything with the boat, that included paying, being told how to row properly by the instructors and find the right sized life jackets.
Once we were on the lake it was magical. Bentley decided to be the one to row and we made our way across the lake. The lake was beautiful. More beautiful than when i used ot come here years ago. The three were in bloom and you could see a little bluebell trail in the forest just to the left of the lake.
"Lets walk through there later. It's beautiful" Bentley suggested as he kept rowing down across the lake.
"You read my mind big boy."
" You better watch who your saying that to missy else you might get yourself into a bit of trouble." Trust him to think like that.
" Ew you know I didn't mean it like that. Besides I've been told you aren't that big. Turns out it's the size of a baby carrot." I could help but tease.
" Well that person must of been blind because this bad boy is a hell of a lot bigger than a baby carrot sweetheart." Yet again Bentley finished that sentence with a wink.
" Ok I've heard enough about my best friends cock for today. Save that for one of your sluts."
" Like I said before I'm saving it for the right woman Av, no one ever see's Bentley Junior." Is he being serious.
" You named it Bentley Junior? out of all the names you could of had?" I couldn't help but laugh.
" I thought you'd heard enough about him so why are you carrying on the conversation?" HIs sarcastic tone caught me out and we remained silent for about half hour.
We were too busy taking in the scenery but aftter a while I was the first one to break the silence.
" Hey Bent?"
"Yeah?"
" Have you ever thought about the future?"
" Of course, what do you mean."
" Have you ever thought what we're going to do after school, like university, a job, a family and stuff?" This semmed to shock him a bit because I'd never brought it up to him before.
" Erm no not really, Have you?"
" Yeah but I don't no whether I like it."
"Wanna share care bear?" He wiggled his eyebrows and stopped the boat in the middle of the lake so he could listen. I couldn't helo but laugh at his eyebrows.
" Well I picture two paths, the first is going to uni, getting my degree, then I get my job and finally I meet my dream man and we have a family." He seemed satisfied at what I said.
" What's the next one Ava?"
" The next one is staying here in this town, meeting my husband through friends or my job and then having a family that way."
" What's wrong with either of them?" He questioned.
" Nothing it's just I want you involved in every aspect of my life yet I can't picture you in these because I don't know what you'll be doing." I felt my heart sink at this because I don't want to imagine a life without him.
"Aww Ava." He pulled me towards him and sat me between his legs with my back pressed against his chest. "I'll always be in your life no mater what, you'll see me everyday because where would you be without a hot and sexy piece of man hunk like me." Bentley couldn't help but complement himself but he did cheer me up.
" You really think we're going to see each other for the rest of our lives then?"
" Of course stop thinking I won't be there." He kissed my temple and started rowing the boat again." It's funny really."
" What is?" I could help but question him.
"Don't go weird or anything with me but when we were about 9 when I pictured my future you were the one I married and you were the one who had my kids."
I turned my head to look at him. " Are you being serious?"
"Yeah I wouldn't of sad it otherwise. That was before we learned where babies came from though. After watching that video it put me off thinking about anyones baby for a few years."
" It put me off having any kids haha." I have to admit that video was scary. You actually saw the birth of a baby. It was gross.
" So you're saying that Austin, Houston and Nevaeh were never actually going to be real?"
" Who the hell are they?" I was instantly confused.
" Our babies,"
"Wait, you named your imaginary children when you were 9? Isn't that what girls are supposed to do?"
" Our Imaginary, Yes I did and it's not against the law for boys to do it is it?." He laughed
" Of course not I just don't get why they would be called Austin, Houston and Nevaeh."
" Well I was obsessed with Texas at the age of 9 and I always picture the twin boys to be called Austin and Houston, and then I pictured a little girl about 3 years younger than them called Nevaeh because she would of been an angel sent down from Heaven for us to look after, so I just reversed Heaven." Wow. Who new a little boy of 9 could think of such a beautiful name for a little girl.
" You put a lot of thought into that didn't you."
" Of course I did, I was fed up of mom having all these babies aroung that were annoying so I made up my own fantasy family and since you were the only girl i ever talked to I pictured you as their mom."
" Well just so you know I like the name you chose for our imaginary daughter, It's beautiful." Bentley then muttered something under his breath but instead of questioning him about it I decided to take in the beauty of the lake and enjoy the rest of my afternoon.
