Molly and her sister were what some people would call troublemakers. They would often get into things they weren't allowed to touch. One of their favorite activities was to find new and exiting cooking ingredients and mix them together to see what would happen.
Their parents tried everything to get them to stop, but only one thing would work. Hitting Molly and her sister with what ever happened to be in their hand. The sisters father was a professional chef and loved to cook at home as well as work. Thomas who caught the girls all the time in his neatly organized cupboards almost always had his trusty wooden spoon in hand. Eventually Molly and her sister came to fear the wooden spoon more than death itself.
Molly found out she was a bit of an adrenaline junky when her sister pointed out that Molly could not resist climbing the tallest tree she could find. Instead of going away, Molly's need to do anything dangerous only grew.
Molly met her future husband on the top of a double-diamond ski slope in Wyoming. Nathan made a bet with her that if she fell down one time, she would have to give him her number. Molly did not fall once but she still gave him the digits.
They dated for six years, traveling all over the United States and the world, seeking out the most dangerous places to tour. On October second they got married but continued to travel for two more years before Molly found out she was pregnant. They decided to settle down and raise their growing family in relative safety.
One sunny day when Molly was six months pregnant they realized they didn't own a blender to make smoothies, and Molly needed a smoothy or else. So the crazy couple jumped into their Jeep and went to a kitchen supply store. They got a blender but somehow had also bought five wooden spoons in different shapes and sizes.
Nathan wondered out loud when the got back home and unloaded all the different wooden spoons " How are you so impressed by wooden spoons?"
Molly who had been staring at the wooden spoons intently had to be asked twice to get an answer. "As a kid wooden spoons were the most dangerous things in our house. And I guess I miss our life of danger."
"Oh Mol our life is still dangerous" Nathan said lovingly.
"How Nate? How is it still dangerous?" Molly said with tears in her eyes.
"Raising a kid is the most dangerous thing of all! What if we mess him or her up?"
"Your right Nate! I feel so much better now." Molly said as happy as a dog who stole a meatball.
