Chapter one

I have one week till I become an adult, a women and had my first full change. To say I'm excited is an understatement. I've been trained my whole life to protect the pack as I'm the only child of my parents.

My parents are the current alpha couple; Lisa (my mother) is the greatest Luna the pack has ever had and she works alongside the strongest alpha every to exist; my father Brian. They have trained me to be as strong as my father, if not stronger. At first the pack didn't agree to have a female Alpha so the strongest of our warriors challenged me for my rights to the throne. My father thought I would be angered by the fact my pack didn't have faith in me but I saw it as a test. A test to show them that nobody was a match for me and I could protect them, woman or not. So when I beat the warrior almost to death I gained the faith and trust of my people.

Now I just needed to plan my big ball for my 18th birthday. I may be a girl but I'm not used to big parties, dresses and makeup. Thank God for my best friend Kendall who made it her priority to plan my party. My boyfriend John is going to make sure I'm relieved of stress during the week every night until the big party. I knew John had to be my mate; he was the only guy who could be himself around me due to my status. His father is my father's Beta and I am going to offer him the place of my Beta when I am Alpha but he doesn't know yet. Kendall will be my Gamma because I can rely on her and she is one of the strongest female wolves to exist.

Kendall is a feminist wolf. She believes that woman shouldn't be stereotyped as the weaker wolves because they do feminine things. Kendall has beaten many male warriors in battles and her father leads the army so he has taught her everything she knows. I have a respect for Kendall that no one could understand. She was born with a smaller wolf but she spent hours each day in the pack house gym working on her strength and now her wolf is one of the biggest brown wolves I have laid eyes upon.

At first I thought the colour of my wolf was a weakness, my fur is pure white not a speck of colour, but men thought I was beautiful and I distracted them, which is good in a battle situation. I remember my first battle, I was almost too confident. Our enemy pack, The Rogues, had tried to invade our territory. I was 13 and had begged my father to let me fight in the front. After he agreed I flew into the middle of the fight and faced their alpha. I thought I could take him down straight away but my father knocked me to the side, saving me from a disaster. So instead I took on his best warrior and beat him to death. I had distracted him with my gracefulness then attacked him at the throat. My father knew then that he was leaving the pack in good hands. Now I just have to go through my full change. Prior being 18 a werewolf can change but still hasn't fully connected with their wolf so they have human instincts as a wolf instead of full wolf instincts. I can wait to change.

My mobile phone rings on my dresser and All of Me by John Legend plays symbolising a call from my amazing boyfriend John.

"Hey baby" he says when I pick up. I can tell he has just woken up as his voice is deep, husky and sexy as hell. I am distracted and he notices when he repeats himself.

"I'm here baby. I was just distracted by your beautiful morning voice. So where are we meeting to get our outfits for my party?" I am yet to pick a dress for my party and another dress for my transformation.

After we agree on him coming to pick me up at 2 to go dress and suit shopping and Kendall is coming with us so I don't make a stupid decision with my dress.

We arrived at the store at 2:30 and Kendall ran into the store in excitement while I watched her amused.

"You're so lucky Charlie! I didn't get a party this big for my 18th birthday." I roll my eyes at her comment, this isn't something I enjoy. John slips his hands around my waist and whispers in my ear, "hey, lighten up alright, it's all about you right now."

I instantly have a smile on my face; John always knows how the make me feel special. He gives me a motivational shove into the store and I give my hips an extra sway to tease him. I turn and by the smile on his face I know I have done just that. A short black lacy dress catches my eye and I instantly run towards it. (Dress to the side)

"This is it guys, the dress I'm wearing for my transformation. I wanted something short and seductive and this is it, Kendall you will not change my mind." The enthusiasm in my voice was obvious even though I tried to hide it and by the smile on Kendall's face I know she agrees with me.

After hours of looking we decide a blue mermaid dress for my party, a purple mermaid dress for Kendall and just a plain black tux for John. I am happy with the outfits we have chosen and I know my party is going to go perfectly.
