These really were the good old days, when everything was simple. We'd learn a bit each day, but it didn't really feel like learning, because teachers made it fun.

We'd nap every day, although that nickname, "the sleepless wonder", wasn't for no reason, I never actually slept. I remember getting in trouble because I disturbed the other kids!

Recess was everyone's favorite, and it was mine as well. So much in fact that I didn't go inside when recess was over. Well, they ended up sending me to the principal's office.

I was such an active and spirited kid. The preschool I went to was one of those private deals, it was a church. A small one. It was on my street. We always walked there, unless it was raining. It was so close to my house that there was only one house in between mine and the school. Along with a little walkway in a super miniature park and a bit of parking lot.

I distinctly remember learning the alphabet with those inflatable potato shaped characters with the arms legs and the different outfits, faces, and their designated letter on their chest area. There was some sort of song, of which I have long since forgotten. The two letter characters that I still remember are q and u, they were dressed for a wedding, and the teacher always said that q and u were getting married. I still think about that when I have to deal with those 2 letters!

Those were some amazing times! Sometimes when I go back to that city, I visit the principal, who hadn't changed a bit. She's always really happy to see me, and I her. The last time I saw her was late 2017, and we hadn't seen each other in quite a few years, so it was pretty awesome!
