The Light

Prologue

I looked into the mirror fixing my hair getting ready to go. my mom yells, " Come on, its time to go! " I run down the stairs, grab my coat, and jump into the car! my mom looks at me and says, " Are you ready? " I nod my head and she says, " Ashley it's you first day of university. Show a little more excitement! " I looked at her and said, " I'm not going. " she just gives me a dirty look and says,

" Your going or else were moving back to Calgary! " I looked at her and said, " you can't do this, I'm not moving back to Canada! "

" Than your going to university, in California I guess! " she yells.

" I guess that's it than! " we got to the place were she would drop me so I could get a taxi. " Good bye Ashley. I love you " she says. I reply " uh huh, bye " she drives away. I wait for the taxi as this guy walks by, he was cute! " Hello, I'm Aidan. " he says and puts his hand out. I look at him and I say " Hi. I'm um. Ashley, ya " and I shook his hand he smiled and said " you look pretty sad " I looked at him again and said " um ya. I'm alone! " he said " if being alone makes you sad than I guess I'll stay with you till my taxi arrives! " I smiled and asked him " were are you headed? " " I'm headed to university of California, Las Angeles " he replied " That's were I'm going as well! " I said " what taxi are you taking... " and we talked for what seemed like hours until our taxi got there we were on the same taxi!
